i would say touchscreen is optional only.... there are 99% of the time we dont need it...  just 1% of the time you think touch screen is useful...

if use more than 1% of the time = loose screen hinge = painful hands i agree

i not sure how much people utilize their touch screen... or just buy the laptop because of touchscreen....

but now most of the touchscreen = low quality glossy screen  = 1337x768 reso only....
*
*1366x768

The problem now is that even if you don't want touchscreen you still have to get one since you don't have a choice doh.gif
Just look at the XPS15, and the Lenovo Ideapads cry.gif

HD resolution is okay la for anything smaller than 14" nod.gif
However, HD+ and especially FullHD should be more prevalent in larger notebooks now. Particular so when they manage to fit FullHD and 2560x1600 in something as small as a 10" tablet and selling it! laugh.gif

There's no way of telling which notebook is more durable. It depends on luck and also user care nod.gif
To make it easier for you to decide, go to digital mall or LYP to check out the notebooks recommended by nexus sifu, and then see which one you like the most icon_rolleyes.gif

-For the Dell, extend warranty to 3 years.
-For each notebook, upgrade RAM to at least 8GB.
-And most importantly, use remaining budget to switch the HDD with an SSD

I suppose by doing all these you'll exceed your budget, so just stick to the ones more important to you.
If its me, I'd probably opt for the Toshiba since it already comes with 3 years warranty. Then straight upgrade to 128GB SSD. RAM/higher capacity HDD can upgrade later on when funds become available nod.gif

Or you could opt for the Dell Inspiron 15R with 3 years warrranty extension +8GB RAM upgrade 1st. Use until the HDD starts to slow down only you upgrade to SSD icon_rolleyes.gif

And why would you not want to choose an i5-4200U (iirc equivalent to an Arrendale i5-430M)? Because it will lag when you open multiple tabs and listen to music i.e. "multi-tasking"? laugh.gif

2. cost < 3k
3. mainly use for web & graphic
4.14"-15.6" (FHD screen)

thank you for ur help

FullHD notebooks from Asus and Lenovo are more than RM3k, you'll need to fork out at least RM3.5k unfortunately sad.gif

Otherwise, Pretty much these two I guess:
15.6"
Acer
R7-571-53338G1T, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000+ (1920x1080 IPS; touch)@RM2999[2.4kg], 8GB, 1TB, W8

The Acer has a better screen, but the MSI is way, way powerful in specs (also capable of gaming).
