Hello kawan kawan 408 NA & Turbo,

Any idea is there a pollen filter for 408 Turbo air cond? First ignition of the day or night, there is a light hint of odour from the air conditioning vent. Anyone experiencing the same?

Thank you

Adoi, my lion banged the back of a proton saga today over lunch. Aircond stopped and the fan also not working. Quite a number of brackets broken including the two for the main headlamps. However didn't see any radiator leak of liquid and the headlamps are both functioning fine including signal lights. Luckily I was just less than 1KM from Peugeot KD. Drove there and let them inspect. Didn't notice overheating but confirm radiator fan stopped. I will know the extend of damages by tomorrow.

If the plastic that holds the two front headlamps broken, any macgyver remedy? Changing to new lamps will be painful esp from my own pocket.

Really Gong Hei Fatt Choy to Peugeot KD not me. sad.gif

Are you wanting one? It is indeed that owners are happy with their cars. I know there was one used 408t,owner upgraded to 508 SW. Looks like that is sold too.  It's good to note this model is sort after.  I'm looking to change to new model next year!

EP6CDTM is proving reliable and good to see it come on more Pugs. This engine is fitted on the latest 3008 and I am told the latest 308 will also come with this engine.

Actually is not usually the brand but the station owner decision to put additives to their tank. Some scrupulous petrol station want to maximise profit.

Hello all,

For those who has change their 408 Turbo tyres, did you change to the same brand (continental) or something else?
Michellin or Goodyear

Your tips and advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

p/s: Anyone has managed to put a sub woofer into their boot yet?

RM375 is reasonable. RM300.. too cheap. Could be old stock. Check the week/year manufactured on those tyres to comfirm.

Boss,
Changing all 4 tyres? May I know your current mileage?
I'm also considering for a change but undecided on the brand and profile.

Search results for pricing in Malaysia 2013 by this generous blogger;
http://licence2speed.blogspot.com/2013/03/...aysia-2013.html

My question is has anyone change to a different tyre configuration?
Peugeot service technician confirms cannot use 215 but can go wider 235 or remain 225.
Forgot to ask if can increase from 45 to 50.

Hope someone can advise.

2 yrs car with 30k mileage.
Changing 4 tyres.
Before deciding Toyo T1R, i was considering below list:
Mic PS3
GY F1 A2
Toyo T1R

From the 2013 pricing versus your quote + inflation, should be around there.
Rule of thumbup.gif I think good grippy tyres has rubber compound hence is more expensive. My SG friends claimed tyres pricing more competitive as is not control but can't tell the difference when I searched online. drool.gif maybe just me making excuse to drive down under.

QUOTE(a-hp @ Jun 2 2014, 05:21 PM)
The price is reasonable. T1R is directional, a bit noisy.

Good to know. Problem is different individual different level of noise acceptance.

Anyone use Nitrogen gas filled tyres? Any improvements to tire care?

Tried once, can't feel the difference i.e lighter. maybe it's just me, I don't know. But, the pressure does not increase that much after a long drive as opposed to filling 100% of air from the normal pump. Also, the pressure tends to stay the same over a longer period of time and thus, the frequency of checking/maintaining the ideal pressure is reduced. Apart from that, change the vulnerable rubber valve to metal one so that the ideal pressure can be maintained for a longer period of time.
