Hi, I am new here and to LYN as well. Actually not new because I have been a phantom reader of this thread for several months, just newly registered. Through your posts I think I have developed a love-hate feeling towards the Pug although I haven't booked one. Love it since 407 and mainly because you fellows speak of it with so much respect and some adoration. But hate it for the unexplained minor problems experienced by some owners. Unexplained because dunno why it happened but relieved to know all cases are rectified.

Some years ago I was attracted to 407 - just purely aesthetics but look no further because I was happy with my Vios. Then I heard negative comments from friends (please note none of them own a Pug, not even now) so I flushed Pug out of my mind. This year, I get more serious about changing car, so went round window shopping - naturally Honda and Toyota was in the radar but I explored other makes Ford, Nissan, Mitsubishi. Most times I read reviews first before actual touch and feel - narrowed my search to Mitsubishi ASX the 2WD. Budget was 120k max. But didn't like the interior, so didn't pursue further.

Don't know why but was drawn back to Pug like some heartstring pulling. So started reading again, hence following this thread. I am almost there - my choice is 408 NA Blue (mid-age comfort priority) but don't know why still holding back. Perhaps hoping someone here will push me over the cliff and shout "Just Do It" rclxm9.gif or waiting for that warning sign "STOP".

Good grief, really feel like old granny buying sports car sad.gif

Agreed on the fuzzy feeling. Maybe they put some kind of drug in the ventilation system?

Thanks for all the comments but it's comment like this that really piqued my interest.

Maybe I should join the bulk order for sunscreen, then it's point of no return shakehead.gif doh.gif

Hahahaha....that's what I did when I bought my Vios....but I added "give me better price". The trick worked. He gave me extra 2k on the trade in for my previous car.
*
You mean 2k extra above market value? How you do that ... I decide to keep my Vios, trade in wife's MyV instead.

This was with UMW Toyota. Everywhere else only gave 17k for my car. Toyota gave me 19k. I decided to take it, so I went to the nearby bank, took out 10k cash, placed it on the table and asked the salesman if he wants this sale right now. If yes, give me better trade in for my existing car or I go to another branch. He disappeared for a while, then came back and gave me 21k trade in for my car without removing any of the promotional discounts...lol. The salesman didn't look happy. Fortunately didn't have to try this again with Pug. This time salesman is my old friend.
*
Some guts you got ... I am very poor in bargaining.

I think the salesman is not very experienced. If customer walks in with ready cash means already sold. Poor fellow probably chasing quota and had to gave up his comm. Did you at least buy him a good meal? laugh.gif

These are 'guide me home lights'. The concept was to provide lights when you drive into your garage jn darkness. The default setting is only a few seconds to conserve battery life. It can be set to flash longer if needed.
*
The brochure call it "follow me home"? If so, why happens irregularly...

I not quite sure what the real problem on brake dust created the sound. But I have experience before, it could be brake pad not fix properly or materiel of the brake pad not compatible. Example using a full high grade brake pad for racing car which can stand higher temperature or harden brake pad on normal disc brake. This will wear and tear for disc brake rather then the brake pad and this is one of the reason create the sound from the brake edge. To remove the sound of this, they usually scheme out the edge of the brake pad. You can try
*
Really interested to know what's the solution here - I used to experience in Vios but haven't heard for a few years already. Solution then was either skim disc or change pad.

My coolant is at the minimum level now, last service on Feb, next schedule end July.
I noticed my coolant level cant last for 6 months for service interval, last time also same. When servicing, SC will topup to the max level, but after 4 months, it dropped to the minimum level. Is this normal?

I bought batt water to top up the coolant, still got alot left over batt water. How long can the batt water be kept?
*
Mentioned in earlier post best to use pre-mix coolant, otherwise it will keep diluting when topup non-coolant liquid

That quote is from Naza Auto Solution. Not from Peugeot SC. Malaysia Peugeot dont provide such service, eg. body kit installation/ remap bla bla bla
*
So body kit and GPS system buy from Naza Auto? Sorry, don't know the relationship between the parties.
