I used to have this prob when I was using iPhone as well. For iPhone, bluetooth music streaming doesn't really work well with our car system. It will disconnect like you said. There are 2 ways to this if you just want to use the bluetooth phone function.

1. If iPhone is jailbroken, you can download bluetooth app that disables A2DP and allows you to only connect with phone function.
2. Manually connect bluetooth telephone function only through your car system.

There's a trick for iPhone to connect through Bluetooth... But have to manually connect it (after u paired it) everytime u get in the car...

Instead of connect through telephone function, please choose AUDIO STREAMING FUNCTION... And be patient to let the system do whatever it does (connect n disconnect and reconnect... Blah blah blah).... After 30 to 40 seconds, your phone will be connected permanently....

Well, even the turbo ones also go no alarm. You will be able to find your car la if you are lost, just without the sound effect.
You can press on the lock button again, then you can will start blinking at you.

For the viper, I never care about parking under hot sun or cover. LOL. Cant advise you.

For engine part believe that those piston rings need to change to accommodate the high torque n a totally different turbo mill which gives higher output..
GB not too sure is it the same unit...

Btw, guys who using the car Bluetooth for voice conversation, when on conversation, ppl outside can actually hear the other party voice n what he/she said clearly, you guys aware?
