Hello Guys,

I noticed for a few days already that my car is starting to jerk a little. When im driving it, and the cars shift up or down, it tends to jerk a little. Never notice this when i first got the car. This thing happen after i played with the manual mode couple of nights ago.

Thank you very much.

I don't think you need to worry about this. It's the adaptive gb learning your style of driving. By now it should be smooth!

Done the 40k service with total damage of RM1,249.80. The total labour charge alone was RM405 after discount.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Major items were changing brake oil, coolant, pollen filter (this SC called it charcoal filter), spark plugs and power steering fluid.

Just for info, the total damage for the previous services are as follow:-
- 10k = RM 340.30 (Labour FOC)
- 20k = RM 504.80 (+ air filter & labour)
- 30k = RM 426.70 (+ labour)
[attachmentid=3844672]

[attachmentid=3844674]

[attachmentid=3844679]
The other exceptional item was to replace the H7 headlight bulb (RM42.40) which has burnt out 2 nights ago. This time was on the left headlight.  yawn.gif
Noted it was from Hongrie (same as Hungary?). No wonder it was so expensive. And it looks like any other normal bulb.  shakehead.gif
On the bulb burnt out problem within 4 months after replaced, they couldn't find any faulty as well. They said probably it was due to the bulb that i bought from outside is not compatible with the spec... huh?!  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

[attachmentid=3844646]
They have adjusted the left front door to reduce the gap.  thumbup.gif As for the outside smell coming in into the cabin, they said they have did some tightening on the air hole or something. Will check it out.

I also did my 40K service today at Balakong SC.

Parts = RM699.13
Labour = RM162.00
Misc = RM5.00
Tax = RM9.72

Total = RM875.85

Compared to yours, they didn't replace my coolant, brake fluid and power steering fluid.

You seem very fixated to change your filter. Why,is the original filter not good?

Btw how is your gb now?

Your car is still very new. After the 10k service the FC will improve. I'm surprised your gb is jerky. The 6spd gb is supposed to be very smooth. I can't feel my gear changes,have to look at the RPM counter, only then I know gear changes.

Heard K&N are very good. Try it out and let me know. If you experience better performance,I'll change also! Tq.

The delay is normal for these CVT gb,but it should be smooth! Let the SC know.

May be can try K&N... I've been using k&n since day one proton introduce wira. Drop in k&n will do, "mushroom" head k&n will suck hot air in and make things worst...

My NA FC RM100 for 400km since day once until now 35k.. Mostly city use but did not go thru heavy traffic at all coz i go out at noon and go back late at night.. Im not a heavy foot person though.. Can this still consider high fc? Didnt stuck in jam everyday but still i get 400km for RM100.. Aiyohhh..

it all depends on traffic pattern

lots of waiting at traffic lights will increase FC and highway in/ highway out will be a total animal altogether

12L/100km looks a bit on the high side

I am wondering if i use my 408T just 2-3 days once, 50km a day, will there be any problems? Usual days idling at home.

the 6-speed aisin boxes are not cvt. they're torque converter transmissions. but peugeot's transmission programming has slightly different character from japanese. guarantee not as smooth as japanese. it is something to get used to.

just a bit of feedback on the drop in filters, from my experience using the k&n, it works for a few km. no denying it. the car will launch like a bullet (i'm exaggerating a bit here) but then, the car's ecu will pick up 'abnormal' airflow after those few fun kilometres and compensate to parameters earlier set by the car's engineers.

so, the performance will somewhat revert to normal. you probably need to 'fool' the ecu to allow for a higher air/fuel ratio to get more performance out of the new performance filter.

i tried it out in the 206 and 207 and if these old engines can suss out the increased airflow, the newer ecu would probably be able to do so as well. unless, the ecu tells the car otherwise. but then, it could encroach into warranty matters.

anyway, just my feedback and something to think about. always good to have someone try it out and report. just make sure it is not a placebo effect wink.gif

the 2.0 i'm using averages about 11.5L/100km. the car is just about 3,500km. so it is still pretty new... and tight.
