QUOTE(jiunkei_46 @ Feb 6 2014, 01:43 PM) Guys, need a piece of advice, change windscreen, should I do outside or bring back to Peugeot? Very unlucky, second time hit by stone..first time I just did the repair now exactly in front of the passenger view, so decided to replace it.. Try Glass Mechanic http://WWW.glassmechanic.com.myThey can repair crack / chip windscreen at a fraction of the cost of replacement windscreen. Plus, they can help claim your windscreen insurance. Benefit of repair is that the original factory windscreen & sealing around the windscreen is kept intact and tint film need not be replaced. PS. Am not a salesman nor related in anyway to this vendor. This post has been edited by Lanchio: Feb 6 2014, 04:50 PM |

Thanks everyone for the feedback.. Currently i'm using Kurnia and yes, did bought the windscreen coverage of RM2900 and after checking with Peugeot just now, total cost for replacement is RM3015.80. So means i need to top up RM115.80 by myself...
Why i opt to replace the windscreen coz there are two dents already... first one i repaired and thought of replacing it maybe 4-5 years later, who knows today hit by stone again on the same road (Kesas Highway)... argh... As for tint, since the initial is not sufficient to cover, so no choice, tint have to pay from own pocket.. the best part is i'm 1 month away from renewal of my insurance, now, i'm thinking of insured more then once that take effective, claim through that insurance company rather than using the current one.. what you guys think?? |

Hello Guys,
What is the allowed headlight color temperature? Planning to get OSRAM Hyper Blue Intense which is 4200k. Has anyone use this model before? How is it? |

Once u claimed after you top up the windscreen coverage 1 month down the road, you need to re-insure the windscreen again. Cos we can only claim once nia (correct me if I'm wrong). So if you claim now, you just have to pay additional RM116 vs re-insure again which would costs more than RM400++... You still gain leh...My 2 cents.. hahahaWhy i opt to replace the windscreen coz there are two dents already... first one i repaired and thought of replacing it maybe 4-5 years later, who knows today hit by stone again on the same road (Kesas Highway)... argh... I realized something. My car is kind of bumpy. Maybe is coz of the harder suspension and bigger rims. But the most obvious is, the car is wiggly. As i was cruising on the highway at about 110kmh-160kmh, the car tends to wiggle. It swings left suddenly and the have to correct it. Then sometimes it veers off to the right a little. Is the the famous "pull left" problems? Please advise. Also, i cannot locate my air filter. Can anyone tell me where is it exactly? I plan to change air filter. Thank you very much. [/quote Suspect its the tyre... Check your tyre pressure and/or send for realignment. Uneven wear could cause this as well. The recommended pressure is 2.5 bar and that comes to about 36 psi. Correct pressure is essential for good handing, saves fuel and safety. Under pressure will cause more fuel to be use because of the extra effort needed to roll, damages the tyre more (uneven wear ) and cause tyre to overheat. To some 36 psi is too hard and very uncomfortable. I think it just need some getting used to. i think 35 is ok. Wide tyre tends to follow uneven roads so they are good for highways but not so on trunk roads. Roads are build such that they are lower on sides and higher in the middle to allow for water to run. So some times you will feel your car veers to the left or right, depending on the road. It is also because of the wide tyre which tends to follow the road veering to left or right easier than thinner tyre. e.g. 195R17 vs 220R17. |

Adoi, my lion banged the back of a proton saga today over lunch. Aircond stopped and the fan also not working. Quite a number of brackets broken including the two for the main headlamps. However didn't see any radiator leak of liquid and the headlamps are both functioning fine including signal lights. Luckily I was just less than 1KM from Peugeot KD. Drove there and let them inspect. Didn't notice overheating but confirm radiator fan stopped. I will know the extend of damages by tomorrow.
If the plastic that holds the two front headlamps broken, any macgyver remedy? Changing to new lamps will be painful esp from my own pocket. Really Gong Hei Fatt Choy to Peugeot KD not me. |

I suggest u to claim insurance, as the front bumper itself already cost more than 5k. And the headlamp clip broken, GG thats it. You need to change both headlamp. Sorry to your tragedy bro |

If any road block stop you and wanna charge u for headlamp modification, just open the bonnet and show them, no HID installed. Nthg is wrong. White bulbs look cool but it danger urself while driving, u will have low visibility during foggy/ hazzy or raining condition. I am using ONB 4300k on my 408. |
