ive met a few pug drivers...5008, 407, 308t, vti etc.......whilst the car is good, naza has absolutely no idea how to mentain these cars.

imagine to change engine oil u have to leave it overnight. hence why you see the value of 308t's falling like a ginormous snowball
*
First time I heard abt car need to stay overnight for engine oil change

No offense taken. Im not insisting that it is. Its just it felt that way to me when i drove it both. Then when i see spec sheet, is lIke another impression. Thats why wanna clarify it here. Hahahahah

So anyways, how responsive is the gearbox? Does it drop gear itself when we brake and go into a corner? Like u tekan the car, then near to the corner u brake, does the car drops gear itself? Or is it like my vios, it doesnt drop gear until u exit the corner and step on the accelerator?
Thank you very much.
*
If u tekan kuat before cornering, the GB will hold at a lower gear, while braking at the corner, no point the GB drop gear right?! As it already at lower gear.

Edit: Unless u r driving smoothly and entering the corner without pressuring the minyak, the GB engage at normal gear, while entering corner, slow down while braking, it will drop to a lower/ suitable gear to fit the speed.

What i mean is, when u tekan all the way, then got corner, u step on break, will the car drop gears before you enter the corner? (engine breaking. dont rely so much on breaks)

Coz some cars wont drop gear at all (i.e my vios). It will just slow down due to you stepping on breaks and then when u exit the corner and step on pedal, then only it drop gears.

Thank you very much.
*
It does hold on a lower gear when slowing down.
Do note this also applied while going down hill, GB also auto engage at a lower gear if u not tekan minyak pedal

Hmmmm....So this car, the ECU and GB is quite smart ler. It can detect u are slowing down and just drops gears first for you.....

Does the car jerks when changing gears during u tekan kao kao???

The feeling is like having another gear change..
Let's say now running 2nd gear, reached 2300rpm, it will then engage to 3rd gear n normally drop 500 rpm.. Then just when it is picking up rpm, it drops another 200 rpm to 1600 rpm before continue to pick up rpm.. I didn't lift my leg of the accelerator..
it's like slip clutch feeling.. Not sure if it is normal, might ask service center on 20k service on March
*
I saw somewhere before that this is normal, there is a (inter/ mid gear?!) In between gear 2 and 3.

Noob question:

My Check/ODO button displays "7000km" next to a spanner icon. Is this the mileage at which I should send my car for servicing? I am at 6960km already sweat.gif The SA told me that the car was just sent for 6th month servicing in Nov 2013.

Check back to ur service booklet, get a proof of the last service.
First inspection is 2500km. First service is 10k km.
Service interval 10k km or 6 months whichever comes first.

There is another chance that SC forgot to reset ur car ECU after last service. Just send ur car in to reset it will do.

I have a 408T, my car failed on me this morning. I started up my car, travelled less than 50 meters, felt the car started to loose power and died in the middle of the road when the engine was still running. (could have been tragic). My car is less than 3 months old and mileage is at 2480. I don't know whether it is problem with the batteries. Will check with service centre.

This morning, I'm supposed to send my car for 2500 inspection but this happened. However, I felt the power lost the night before yesterday. When I stepped on the accelerator, the engine did not respond. (Kind of like power loss).

Called the Peugeot care line, the towing panel called me within 15 minutes and told me tow will arrive in 1 hour. 20 minutes later, tow truck driver called me but mentioned that he got delay due to "Ada masalah". It has been 1 hour since my car failed and I have still yet to get to the service centre.

Update: apparently the tow truck that is supposed to get to me aide burst his tyre. (Tow truck needing a tow now).
The towing panel is sending another tow truck over.

1. Very disappointed with Peugeot. (Battery can't even last for 3 months?!) very sickening
2. Tow services could have been better
3. Disappointed. No longer feel proud of driving this car.
*
I doubt that this is due to batt issue.
once ur car is started up, ur batt is charged.

Do keep us update bro.

The screen only appeared because I pressed Check/ODO button. Didn't pop up as a warning.

I notice today that instead of 7000km, the same screen says 6800km now. I guess it is actually counting down the number of KM until next service? tongue.gif Can anyone please confirm?
Service booklet was empty when I collected my car but I asked the service centre staff to fill it up based on their electronic records... rclxub.gif
*
It shows the remaining KM for ur next service. If thats the case that this only appear when u press the button, den make sense.
Ur next service will be after 6800km or May2014.

if ur service mileage is less than 3000k, den the spannar logo will be there all the time.

Hi ghost007,

Thanks for the personal opinion of yours. I shall ignore the comments made by the troll. I belive in everyone has their own oprinion on everything. Just maybe at times the person conveying the opinion may affect some ppl. Like the troll. ~~LOL.....And im not the do not know how to open bonnet type....Also i never mentioned anything about jap cars being cheap to maintain.

Its just for me, i would like to do a full thorough research on the cars before making decision. Hence i ask alot in the forum. But some how, certain ppl tend to think wrongly or get sinsitive that i am criticising the car. But its ok, not big deal. Coz i am not as i am considering to buy this car as well.

Anyways, went to Pug centre in KD to test drive the 408T again like some of the owners advise me to do. This time is not as bad as the first. No offense, i feel that there is no delivery of power on 1st and 2nd gear. The engine just revs up to 5000rpm on both gear. But no launch or no kick. Its on the 3rd gear where i feel the power kicks in. There is a SLIGHT feel of the torque delivery. As i can feel my body being push back a little. Is this normal for the car?

And when engage in sports mode, no change in throttle response time, it just holds on the the gear longer before it changes. Is it normal? Coz usually sports mode, the throttle response is faster or more sensitive i should say. Manual mode is fun. Doesnt jerk when changing gears up and down, even when revving it all the way to 5500rpm. Nice =)

Thank you very much.
*
No change in throttle when engage in Sport mode. It just hold at a lower gear, so that the power is always there. Kinda useless for highway cruise I can say, maybe just some urban drive is nice.

Just wonder if any of you have use fuel injector cleaner, if yes - brand?
Normally I will use RON 97 once a month which I am not sure whether it is a good practise or not either.
Some say it might cause the fuel sensor problem while other say it keeps the injector and engine cleaner

Any thoughts?  blink.gif
*
Can say that Ron97 is kinda waste to used on 408. Ron95 will do.

been ages since i have been back in here. here's some news. the atf for those 6-speed boxes have come down already and it is now around rm180 per litre. but some outlets still have stock of the oil at the old price.
*
Which mean this could bring down the service cost by Rm1k?
Good news to us!!

Any sign b4 kong? Will it void anything if change battery outside?
*
Batt warranty from Peugeot is 1st year or 20k KM.
If your batt kong within 1st year, call Peugeot to get it changed for free.
If kong after warranty, just do it outside, much more cheaper.

Need to wash after applying rain x? I normally apply it after wash, then just use another dry pc of cloth to wipe the windscreen.
*
1) wash and clean ur windscreen
2) use a tissue to apply the rain x through out the windscreen
3) wait rain x to dry and misted
4) use a wet cloth to wipe off the residual
