QUOTE(chenglong @ Dec 23 2013, 03:28 PM) This yellowish caliper is not the front of both, it is rear one.... weird Other thins is, normally I wash my car every Saturday morning (car in cold condition). After wash it, no drive it until Monday. Morning want to drive it out from car porch, I shift to reverse gear and then release handbrake (not press brake at all). my car not move at all due to brake still "hold" . So I press more gas and then I heard louder "pang" from rear. Many time this sound can be heard after wash and leave it certain time. SC said this is normal... anyone has smiler problem ? While reading, I thought the "pang" was from your car hitting the gate

Hi guys,
Finally, after sending in my car to Glenmarie many times due to tyres losing pressure, they said they have found the problem to be with the valves. I already asked them to change the valve before but they refused. Now they have hired a tyre expert in house to find the problem.
SA called me and say hv to charge me together with changing "tube"? I am also not quite clear, will find out more today.
I had the problem since day 1, but only complaint officially during 2500km inspection. Now my mileage is 5000km. Anyone knows if I should be charged for this?
I am also replacing the third brake light plastic mount that's melted, under warranty, no cost. SA says warranty for the plastic runs for 5 years. True? So every 6 mths I can change the plastic?
Thanks.

QUOTE(chenglong @ Dec 27 2013, 11:59 AM) Hi. You tell them the plastic melted ? Yeah, otherwise how to get them to replace it? EDIT: SA was surprised I opened it myself tho, but he didn't say anything. This post has been edited by wjchay: Dec 27 2013, 11:04 AM

QUOTE(chenglong @ Dec 27 2013, 12:08 PM) I at the SC now. I had shown the photo to SA about this problem too, he said if bulb can light up then no problem, not need to replace it. Just ask you, you rear have rattle noise when driving ? I suspect that it come from 3rd brake light.. yeah, even in the same SC, the different SA has different attitudes. I asked to change SA and this is a senior SA assigned to me. He is ok, but somehow there's someone complained about him on FB. So, it's back to luck. Yes, I have rattle sound from the back, probably the 3rd brake light. But it's only on really uneven roads, so I just don't bother much about it. I also noticed part of the casing mount plastic was broken, but I have no idea how that happened. After opening the grey cover, I didn't put it back and sent to car wash. When I got it back, I saw the mount/clip that makes the grey casing stick to the black plastic was broken/chipped. So I am not sure if it was broken from day 1 or after car wash. Couldn't me me, as I checked the surface under the casing to ensure it's all clean before car wash, didn't see any chipped plastic on it.

I just got screwed by glenmarie again.
Sent in 26 dec to get valves changed. 26 dec called many times still not done, excuses of checking tube? 26 dec 5pm last spoke to SA, SA said next day only will be ready. 27 Dec called many times, voice mail box. Called general line, lady said SA on leave. Promised to get someone call back. 11am still no return call. Went to glenmarie myself to check. Spoke to someone, nobody was working on my car. After expressing my disappointment, he promised to finish the job by 1pm. I went to lunch, came back waited till 2pm.
After got my car, drove to petrol station to check pressure. Left front tyre side pressure more than right tyre pressure. Damn, again. I corrected the pressure and alignment is out.
So I guess I hv to bear with it for a week until I confirm all tyres valves are ok, then pay workshop to do alignment again.
I'm trying to get dato's email so that I can write a long email to him.

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Dec 28 2013, 06:41 PM) Bro you could have saved yourself a lot of headache by going to a tyre shop. The valves only cost about $3/-. I did alignment, balance and tyre rotation for $65/-. Did it in Seremban,KL will be a bit more I'm sure. Now the famous left pull has disappeared. Some time back I inspected 3 different Blue Box SCs. None were setup for alignment work. Thats when I decided I will not waste time with these monkeys and get all tyre work outside. I did get tyre shop to check and they said no problem. The method was simply dipping whole tyre/wheel into soap water. My problem is a bit peculiar as air escapes only when i drive the car. I left my car in my house for 12 days without driving it and the pressure remained the same. I also went back SC because I thought changing valve will affect the pressure sensor? Therefore, might void warranty? I managed to get the valves changed FOC in Glenmarie. Hope this will solve the problem. Next I will go to tyre shop to do alignment again. Any recommendations in KL?

Thanks for the feedback. So many different styles... how to know for sure? I realized that both cars with the ac turned on when starting engine, the ac will only come on later, like a few seconds after engine started. Wouldn't this be safe enough?

QUOTE(jfcheong @ Jan 3 2014, 05:21 PM) This is the reason I don't off the air con before kill the engine. .. I guess in the absence of an official guide, I will just do as you do. Since the battery is still under warranty, let's see how it goes. As for radio, I don't think it will take up much power anyway. I have used a few other cars and never turn off the radio before.

QUOTE(mtbk3 @ Jan 7 2014, 10:47 AM) Anyone else like to share their 408T performance experience?? (i.e. pick up, speed, handling, etc.) Thank you very much. Performance = syok la, don't know how else to describe. But when I go around the housing areas looking for food, I prefer to drive my 208 Vti, easier to park

QUOTE(roadrunnerPenang @ Jan 15 2014, 10:59 PM) Any sign b4 kong? Will it void anything if change battery outside? Hi roadrunnerPenang, My experience was that there's a voice and text memo, at least once or twice, when my battery was almost dead. However, please take note that I had a USB drive hooked up all the time. I think the USB drains power, maybe when engine is starting with the USB plugged in?

QUOTE(puppydogpoo @ Jan 30 2014, 12:56 AM) My 408t does the same thing. I never timed it... My ex colleague's Mazda RX8 also keeps the radiator fan on for a while even after you turn off the engine and leave. I say don't worry about it Same with my 408T. My 208's fan also runs for a while after turning off engine. I used to drive Satria Neo, also like that.

I also sent in a compliment letter to clic for a Glenmarie SA, relatively new, for his extra effort on my service last week. I was on the way driving back when he called me informing me that someone (security?) saw my bonnet was not closed tight. He advised me to pull over and close it tight.
Today I saw him again, as I sent in another car today, he said he received a compliment letter from the company.
