To be honest on the FC, 408T made me to avoid traffic jams as much as I could, but how could I fight the world with my own tiny strength? tongue.gif

Think about this, I take LDP-Federal Hw to work every morning and no flexi time. Means I got to be there before 9am. My FC are always at 11l/100km.

There are times it climbs up to 12l or 13l per 100km. I am used to the number already. Nothing much I can do to the traffic than asking the car in front to move in my heart sad.gif

Hi guys,
Happy CNY. been busy with family stuff during so no time come in forum.

My 408 has travelled about 1.7k km and i found the car kinda floats while travelling in high speed ard 160km/h to 180km/h.

Need to check with u guys, does ur driver side power windows able to wind down completely after pressing the switch? All the 3 other windows are able to, just the driver side cannot. How abt u guys?
*
hmmm, why so weird about your car? I never feel my car is floating even driving at 180km/h. All my friend tot that I was driving at 120-130km/h
Hope you are not comparing it to some other class.

Bro jfcheong, your post reminded me on my engine mounting. It is already around 10 months and no news! Every time I called for update, they always tell me that they will call back by never.

Just wrote to clic. I hope clic will help me expedite this nonsense from GE Carriage. I am so gonna ask clic to complement something back to me.

10 months... Maybe I will ask for a full set of mounting be changed.

Clic did a great job indeed. They help me to follow up my case instead I make the call everyday.
The SC will also stressed up abit if we bring up our case to clic I believe.
*
Trust me, clic seems got no effect on GE Carriage. sad.gif
Now what I can do is pray.

Finally, my engine mounting has arrived. After so many months.

Clic says the service manager will call for appointment, but seems like no call from him yet. =.=

Is this due to the follow up of clic?
Or previously u did send email to clic but still long waiting no response from them?
*
Well, I tried follow up with this warranty claim by myself and I always dont get update from the SC.
Yesterday I send email to Clic, today the Service Manager replied to Clic said that the parts have arrived today.
So I believe the stress level is applied, they work more serious now biggrin.gif

Yes. And please dont express ur anger to them. Talk with them politely and they will response politely. Fault is on SC not the clic officers... cheers.

LOL, I am very polite to clic. Even greet them "have a good day".

Tyres Mich PS3 RM615.00 each, brake pads I changed outside much cheaper, parts + labour RM360.00, original pads was quoted RM650.00, too expensive.
Just got to know, it's normal practice to change brake pads and disc together, as the pads actually wear off the disc brakes, fortunately mine still ok, so still using, mileage 36k
*
Wow, it will be superb exp if I change the brake pads and discs together.
I need to re-calculate my expenses to make sure I got enough money to do such once the brake pads wear off. sad.gif

408 NA owners, any of you feel the suspension is too soft in the rear. When I drive over big speed bumps slowly, there seems to be a lot of suspension travel (bounce). It's ok when I'm moving at speed though. Is this normal?

Also, about the noise in the front left of my car, turns out it was the door panel after all. Gentle pressure stops the vibration noise. The reason it doesn't happen all the time is because whenever it doesn't happen, there's someone sitting in the front passenger seat with their hand on the arm rest, thereby applying pressure.

The question now is how to get it fixed. Any ideas folks?
*
Sent it to SC. It seems like some nuts at your door is loosen. They will just screw you up. I mean to tighten the screws tongue.gif

Been driving this car since end January. Drove the KL-Johor route about 3 return trips already. Fantastic car. I love really love it. Overtake on highway also I just fiddle with the cruise control. Don't even need to tekan gas. (Is this actually advisable?)
However, the surroundings around my home is super dusty. 2 days in the porch and can see a layer of dust (my car is the blue one). Any advice on cleaning the dust? I don't wanna end up scratching the brand new car!
*
LOL, I totally agree with you about the driving experience on highway.
My experience was driving to cameron, slow down a bit because of a corner, a forte (was in my consideration before i buy 408t) tail gate me for no reason.
I let him pass and show him the power of the Lion, lol. It seems like after 170, the forte coupe is struggling.

By the way, about the dust, I usually rinse the car will tons of water before putting the soap. I took this advice from SerialGlow uncle tongue.gif

QUOTE(kuhan83 @ Mar 4 2014, 10:25 PM)
So.. last Sunday I was driving. As per normal... then suddenly a msg appears on the radio display "battery charging issue or faulty lining" or something like that. I called up pug care line.  They said no worries. I can still drive the car. Bring in for check up at service centre.

5 mins later, all hell brakes loose. Esp sensor off. Power steering failure.  Radio goes off and had to stop my car. Towed it to glenmarie as I didnt want to take risk and covered by insurance.

Monday morning I call up GM and find out whats the issue. They tell me its the battery. I tell them fine. Change the battery. This is despite the battery being changed just last September for battery problem. They tell me no issues otherwise, and my car will be ready in the evening by 5. So I make plans with my colleague to drop me there and bring back the car. I told him to call me back when the car is done. 2pm no call. 4 pm. No call. I call back at 430pm. He tells me they ve not started on my car. I sounded the fella over the phone... but had to accept because nothing can be done.

Today again I had to call up and find out. Called at 10am. He said all settled already they are going to wash the car. Can collect in the afternoon. So my colleague dropped me off there. They tell me the car is ready. I ask him why is the battery so expensive.  540 incl labour charge. He said its expensive as it s a European battery. Its delco not delkor. Again,  I layan his story and just pay. I go to my car, open my booth. I see the new battery box there. Delkor. The sales fella doesnt know his own stuff. I point it out to him, he shows me the price listing. Again I accept. Not much of a difference to me...

Here is where shit hits the fan... I drive out of the service centre, not 20 metres down the road, the same bloody warning sign comes on. I bring it back in, And get them to check. The technician comes, plugs in a computer and tells me the turbo cooler gasket or something is out, and needs to be changed;  under warranty. Then they need to check all the other systems.

Accepting this again, I tell them I have to go back to klang. I ask for a shuttle to klang (pushing my luck) they tell me the shuttle car met with accident and the courtesy car is with another client. Had to pay for my own taxi to subang komuter station.

Tomorrow have to call and find out more... fml...

Write a complain to Peugeot France and also Peugeot Careline.

This is definitely not acceptable. Trust me, the SCs are all bullshit (my point of view after all the posts).
Mine car is yet to be fixed. Part arrived as careline confirmed. Careline request me to wait for the SC to call up for appointment but what? Already 2 weeks, i receive no call.

HI Guys,

1) why 408NA no alarm , how to find car in  parking lot if we lost?
2) During hot day parking , is it necessary to lift viper standing position ?
tq
*
Well, even the turbo ones also go no alarm. You will be able to find your car la if you are lost, just without the sound effect.
You can press on the lock button again, then you can will start blinking at you.

For the viper, I never care about parking under hot sun or cover. LOL. Cant advise you.

Called CLIC again to follow up my engine mounting claim.

CLIC told me that the service manager will call me by today or tomorrow morning. If they are still not calling me, I will need to follow up with CLIC again.

Then I asked for a small favor for transferring the part to another SC, they said cannot. I understand why they can't do so but I am just so pissed.
I told them if the worst case happened, I will just lodge a complaint at Consumer Department. She replied:" Sir, we will try our best to assist you. Please call us back if no call still on tomorrow."

I really wish that I need not to go through such process to get my car fixed.

Waiting time: 1 year and 5 days.
