Besides Meguiar's, is there any other recommended brand for drying towel?
*
I use this from Osren:
White Synthetic Chamois
Code: SC-W05
Ultra water-absorbent, lint and scratch free drying towel.
50 x 50cm

Then another wipe with this:
Waffle Weave Drying Towel
Code: MF-C-10
Ultra water-absorbent, lint and scratch free drying towel. For blot and drag dry technique.
40 x 60cm
Weight: 350g/m2

Confirm car is dry dry...

Why 2 type of clothes? Because most of us are OCD-ed.

I don't consider spray waxes as proper waxes.
I just see them as gloss enhancers like quick detailers.
*
I have 2 diff brand spray wax. Not much of a gloss enhancer, but it can last at least 1 month, with 2 QD in between.

New lesson learned from yesterday car wash session:

1. Prep you car properly, your sealant and wax last for long period. This is 2nd wash only after 1+ month. In between, 1 QD, 1 maid wash with my Sonax shampoo and now my own wash. Water beading still very very nice. Applied Opti-Seal, then top with spray wax.

2. Meg's wheel brightner and degreaser will kill your normal nozzle spray. You need to use a chemical resistant nozzle spray.

3. Sonax Plastic Restorer will produce matte finishing on your plastic. So I topped up with Meg Hyperdressing.

...overall it was a "happy ending" car wash session. Very satisfied.

4. Women nag a lot when men wash car, even the car is hers.

Sekian.

Quazacolt You kena lottery!

Actually it is not good to leave it unwashed for so long. Use APC to its great effect with some of the cloths.

All cloths? Wax applicator cloth, wax buffing cloth, trim dressing cloth ... etc?

I found some of mine to be harden because of the liquid, so I wash it immediately.

Well, now still very much waiting for the MF cleaner to be cheaper though.... If got sudden discount, please share ya.

The ones I regularly used are drying cloths only...and occasionally mf for applying spray waxes/sealants. But those used for buffing off polishes, waxes/sealants, etc. I don't leave them for too long. Applicator for dressing I use cheapo ones, never wash, if unusable then I just throw away or wash and use as rag. Most recently for dressings I kinda like using the Sonax Polishing (?) cloths....cut into smaller pieces...once used up throw away also....
*
I use it for small spot polishing, it doesn't stain the cloth much compared to MF.

Used to have them for rim coat, but prefer foam pad because of the rim sharp edges.

What else can this cloth do, other than polishing? I have been using the same one since day one, wash it dry it and use it again.

Sonax Plastic Restorer, but a bit pricey.

I topped it up Hyperdressing for the shine. biggrin.gif

Just wanted to ask the same question regarding the water rationing crisis.
On one side, to be a citizen, we should share the responsibility with the rest of the people in this indecent time.
On another side, hell no I feel so guilty to myself to put less care on my ride.

Some radio DJ comments use washing machine left over water to wash car. I was like "great, and strip all the essential oily substance from your clear coat and dull your paint".

I have a bottle of Optimum No Rinse Wash (ONR), bought from Detailien last time, haven have chance to use it myself as washing medium but just as claying lubricant.

I think is time I put it to test. I have used Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax (UWW) before but not as washing entire car, just to wipe on localized panel area when I spot some dirt after I parked my car. I think is a good chance to try this waterless wash method also.

Right now Aeon having member card sale till 3rd of March, nationwide, all Meguiar's product 10% discount, one UWW cost about RM70+ original price, can consider get one for those who are interested.
TurtleWax rinseless wash should be on sale in Aeon too. Those who cant get ONR can try TurtleWax.

Last but not least, KrisMas got any rinseless or waterless wash in your product list?

In summary, I think we need to share the responsibility of using less water. But have to be creative and dare to try new, more water efficient washing method this time. I believe detailer/car enthusiast  does not necessary equals large water waster.
*
I don't know about others, but I think DIY Detailers use way less water compared to Carwash tepi jalan. I only wash my car 3 somethimes 4 weeks once with proper water and car shampoo. The rest of the time QD and Quik Wax.

Actually the only issue with rinseless liquid is streaking.

But krismas told me this : Meguairs D114

Would love to try it, but not sure if locally available.

If you find the video in youtube, they actually have it in spray bottle. But they didn't mentioned anything on the dilution ratio.

Actually I find it rather ... funny.

During water rationing, does it means that if someone use less water, those guys without water will get water supply faster?

Also, you use water you pay... If you use less water, SYABAS will pay you back ke?

I'm just curious why it is so obvious that it was their mistake, but someone else have to suffer?????

Anyway, I just washed my car .... with water. biggrin.gif

Now the haze is back, with the occasional rain, it makes your car dirty much faster.
