QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Jan 7 2014, 03:50 PM) Since lately it has been raining, and I have the chance to observe and make comparison. You mean it makes the water stand in single file like the Chinese army? Wax memang feel licin la... But coating beads water in a very odd way, the titisan air is aligned very nicely compared to surface that was waxed. I dunno how to explain better, maybe krismas can. Let's see if I have the chance to take photo not. Can make them march in formation or not |

QUOTE(nj922 @ Jan 28 2014, 09:08 PM) Many of the forummers here prefers to DIY.So the question is ....... do you want to DIY or pay someone to do for you? Think of coating as a very durable sealant. It is not a miracle product but something that gives you a durable protection. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Feb 1 2014, 01:48 PM) i finally understood what people meant by ultimate liquid wax being hard to buff off/streaks, it's the carrier oils and what not in their liquid formula. interestingly enough, after application and baking the wax gets fully "melted" into the surface and the only thing left is the oily residue/streaks, i didn't really need to buff them off, just use ultimate quik wax and top up which also serves as a buffing off (you'll need to quite a number of passes with moderate pressure to get rid of the oil streaks though) for a great lasting finish Do let us know the durability of the ULQ.hopefully i don't miss out any steps, feel free to ask me anything/feedback as i'm still in the learning process so i'd appreciate the tips and pointers |

I don't consider spray waxes as proper waxes.
I just see them as gloss enhancers like quick detailers. |

QUOTE(scoutfai @ Feb 7 2014, 06:16 PM) Questions to all, regarding the 7/2/2014 9:30pm Detailing TT, - What actually will happen in this session?- What actually will happen in this session? - Attendee need to bring what? - Usually you guys hang out until what time? - Are you all going to detail a car right in front of the restaurant like a open road show event? KrisMas will present you with a 1000 page catalogue that covers products from A to Z, from the ground to heaven. If you read every page, you'll need one week. - Attendee need to bring what? Bank accounts as many as possible. - Usually you guys hang out until what time? about 6 hours from the start time - Are you all going to detail a car right in front of the restaurant like a open road show event? Possible if you are still resistant to Krismas poison. |

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Feb 8 2014, 03:41 PM) Went over to the Sonax HQ earlier today and got myself the Brilliant Shine Detailer. Met up with the owner, Rizal's the name i think. Friendly chap and knows all the products inside out. Fortunately when i went, there was another guy there with his Citroen who purchased a whole bag of stuffs, so Rizal actually demonstrated how to use the Brilliant Shine Detailer. Hey bro I'm the guy with the Citroen Also bought the rim cleaner, wanted to buy the Xtreme Wax but maybe sometime later. Got a free stuff too, the clear view 1:100 thing. Supposedly to be poured into the windscreen washer container. I bought 2 bottles Brilliant Shine Detailer, Wheel Cleaner + Rim Coating, Glass Polish. I thought of asking if you are from LYN |

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Feb 10 2014, 08:58 AM) Yeah, down to earth seems about just right. He personally demonstrated how the product works and doesn't really care he was drenched in his own sweat. Great PR skills, i'd say. I asked him about Polymer Net Shied. They have the rim cleaner set but i only bought the cleaner only but not the coating. Don't think i'd require it. Talking about early, i saw from their facebook page that they are open from 9am - 5pm. I headed over to Glenmarie at 9:15am only to realized no one was there, called Reza and then he told me to drop by at about 1100am T____T luckily i lived nearby otherwise ..... He sells it at RM180 and can only do 2 cars! I rather stick with my Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. |
