Thanks.. wonder this polisher will hurt paint job or not if use frequently? because i use to remove swirl marks.
*
The abrasive is very mild and quite safe for frequent use. By 'frequent' I mean maybe once in three or four months (on the whole car). If you need to use it more frequently than that, then you should better check what's causing all those swirls to keep coming back and take some preventive actions instead.

also, somehow i found that http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/prod...nerconditioner/ (leather cleaner conditioner) is not really good in eliminate the dirty cause on my leather.

do we have other cleaners for the leather seat?

and also stupid me.. i use wilson wax to eliminate the scartches on top of my steering wheel.. now it leave white thing... can make it back to original... sad.
*
I'm guessing you're just using it with a foam applicator (sponge) or cloth right? Try using a soft bristle shoe brush (those meant for cleaning leather shoes). There are chemicals available for cleaning leather seats which are far more effective than using the Megs one (since it is actually geared more for 'maintenance' cleaning) but need to know what type of leather.

What did you mean 'top of your steering wheel'? What material? Any pictures?

Btw Krismas, why not get the Rupes Bigfoot Mini to complement your bigger Bigfoot? brows.gif
*
Tried it. Maybe one day but for now just can't afford it. And, like you said, still prefer rotary & small pads for those areas. Oh...did I mention that it's also as expensive as it's bigger brother.... ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Flex VRG, PE14, Rupes 15/21 & Mini....they're all in the rm1.8k to rm2k range.... sad.gif That's as far as know la. Unless somebody got other sources where can get cheaper. But I doubt that it'll differ by much though.....

Where do you recommend to buy Rupes anyway?

I am thinking for the 15ES Deluxe Kit when I have the budget.

Or do you guys just buy the machine?
*
They use to be cheaper and can nego with seller but now they're about the same price ever since an authorised dealer was established for the region....well...I think you should know very well how that works.... tongue.gif

Oh...not too many of us like the Rupes compounds and polishes. Their pads are good but their polishes....not so much.

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Aug 18 2014, 11:44 PM)
Group discount ah? Need to ask KrisMas arrange, they already bought long ago.
*
I just did a little bit of 'asking around' and seems like the Bigfoots' market price had gone beyond RM2k...even if want to buy the machine alone is already at the RM2k marks. The mini is just around a couple of hundreds lesser than RM2k.... sad.gif

Yeah...the few of us were really fortunate to get the Bigfoot at....errr....call it an 'introductory' price. The guy was supposed to become the official rep for this region but he was, unfortunately, 'muscled' out by...errmm....whoever la. Anyway, now I don't have any 'lobang' for the Rupes....sorry...

hi sifu,
plastic part is from my myvi rear wiper due meg gold class wax. The stains has been there for 1 to 2 months, I did not notice it until recently. tried using pencil eraser to wipe and it able to reduce the stains but those stains which sunk in deeper is harder to get out
I might try to post some pic when i back from work
*
How in the world did it got there...? Nevermind... tongue.gif . Later on when you're back home, try cleaning it with some diluted dishwashing liquid and a toothbrush (used ones would do.... tongue.gif ). Try not to get drips on the bumper. If you're a little OCD, remove the wiper. Very easy. Just pull out the cap and remove the nut. Then you can clean the thing up in the kitchen sink or something.....

Do you guys think we still can use meguairs polish/wax after 2-3 years? is there any expire date?
*
Open the bottle and look inside, if it looks 'clunky' or separated (clear water/oil on top with thick liquid separated at the bottom), try shaking the bottle vigorously and see whether it mix up again or not. If it's mix again and become thick luquid then it's still good. Normally, the newer Megs polishes would become watery if they went bad and the waxes would become 'clunky'...or in chunks.

If you're just trying to find out how long they would last before buying one...well...they last quite a few years if stored properly (not exposed to direct sun and heat) and shaken regularly (once a month or thereabout). I have quite a few Megs products and only ScratchX & M205 went bad on me. The rest are still good and some I bought almost a decade ago..... tongue.gif

Who is the authorized distributor now? Can I can the pad from them? Last I went to Kuchai Lama, the shop only have pads for LHR21, not 15. So I got it from UK instead.

Autocolourtech is still the 'official' Rupes rep. But, somehow, Bigfoot is represented under a different entity and they seem to get all the supply from SG.

Haven't got a reply from Autorage, but then yea I guess so around there. You guys bought early got a good deal.
*
Oh....if you're interested. Rupes regional distro frm SG is coming up to KL on 30/8. They're doing a little 'meet' here. Maybe they would have some special offer or something. Not sure if Autorage rep is coming too though....haven't chatted with Kelvin for quite some time now. You can ask Mun or Josh for the details. And no, I won't be going cuz I won't be around on that date.

Hand polish is quite difficult to master, at least to me.
*
It is for most thumbup.gif

But, some times la, people just forget that you APPLY waxes/sealants but you'd need to WORK compounds/polishes to get results.

I have friend who bought DG601 (PBA) and DG105 (TPP) and asking me to help him remove oxidation and swirl marks using UC..

Should I wipe down using IPA after compound before using PBA and TPP?

Logic sense tells me that to remove polishing oils from UC in order to get full bonding using PBA and TPP.. But scared its a waste of time.. Please help master..
*
You don't really need to. Other than accelerating bonding/curing, PBA is also a mild paint cleaner. Instead of applying it lightly (like applying a sealant), put in a little bit of more effort during application - like using a light polish.
