For me, if the sealant can provide deep gloss, I would be very interested.
But it seems that now it has become a trend that, distributors don't intend to sell their products to end user.... hmmm...very puzzling indeed.
1. Are they worried that end-user dunno how to apply hence tarnish their image?2. Or they simply think that this will kill their market??
I'll go for latter and they should be well aware that everyone sells windowing tinting film too.
i think it is reason no.1. think about it, before i frequent this thread, i used to think that applying wax right after car wash is okay. i've no idea about detailing clay, no idea about compounding, no idea about relationship of polishing and waxing. i just want to shine my car, and ppl say wax liaw car sure shine, and so i go and buy wax and apply.
if lets say a newbie's car is heavily soiled/contaminated and need to be clayed. he go buy this spanky expensive sealant, applied it. and he touch the paint surface. still very rough!! and not very shiny. and thereafter he vow to never buy that sealant again.
i got to say that amongst my friend and colleague here, no one has ever heard before what a clay for car is. their usual response is "take it for polish la". last time i was searching high and low for a clay bar (after i research for quite a while on google). it was like no one ever known there's such thing. i once came to a car painting workshop, they have a painting chamber one, total area quite big. the foreman/painting sifu there ask me i need a polish? i say i'm looking for a clay bar, the kind of clay that can use on paint surface and will stick the bonded contaminant on the clay, and the paint will be very smooth. he then replied me, what is that thing? nevermind that thing, just give me polish. what contaminant will also be polished away one.
