You really get the RED MF for free? not fair leh... I've been there so many times, I only get the 1 small windscreen wash for free.....    sad.gif
*
ya wei, i bought more than rm400 also don't get mf cloth LOL
only the plastic care pad and the windscreen washer fluid (poured the sample 100% in my inspira washer tank now lol, wonder if it'll f*** my rain x up or not...)

i ended up poisoned and bought the non sample full bottle version (10 applications vs sample only once) and it is in the xtreme line up with nano polymer thingy... the color and smell is very different too (the non sample is blue and smells damn good while the orange sample smells so so)

QUOTE(mirage81 @ Feb 8 2014, 07:22 PM)

Went over to the Sonax HQ earlier today and got myself the Brilliant Shine Detailer. Met up with the owner, Rizal's the name i think. Friendly chap and knows all the products inside out. Fortunately when i went, there was another guy there with his Citroen who purchased a whole bag of stuffs, so Rizal actually demonstrated how to use the Brilliant Shine Detailer.

Also bought the rim cleaner, wanted to buy the Xtreme Wax but maybe sometime later.

Got a free stuff too, the clear view 1:100 thing. Supposedly to be poured into the windscreen washer container.

reza biggrin.gif

oh and he doesn't EXACTLY know the products inside out... in fact both me/him learned something new from his staff john... you can fold the plastic care pad inside out for a fresh clean surface... laugh.gif
(j/k he's really knowledgeable and very down to earth despite being sonax malaysia's big boss after all tongue.gif)

you got the rim cleaner AND wheel coating set right from the cny promo right? (didn't saw from the picture)

QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ Feb 8 2014, 05:21 PM)

The black getting darker after the application of product.
That's all you used? Where you got your poorboy's black hole?

(I saw a lot of KURNIA stickers on your house glass door, you are agent or loyal customer?  biggrin.gif  )
*
not just the black hole, i have megs ULW and UQW layered as well. however the black color depth mainly come from the black hole as it has dark colored fillers while the waxes obviously do not.

i got the poorboy's black hole from shine cars Singapore directly smile.gif

and my mom's an agent of kurnia, so yeah i'm a customer also lol.

Yeah, down to earth seems about just right. He personally demonstrated how the product works and doesn't really care he was drenched in his own sweat. Great PR skills, i'd say.

They have the rim cleaner set but i only bought the cleaner only but not the coating. Don't think i'd require it.

Talking about early, i saw from their facebook page that they are open from 9am - 5pm. I headed over to Glenmarie at 9:15am only to realized no one was there, called Reza and then he told me to drop by at about 1100am T____T luckily i lived nearby otherwise .....  rclxub.gif
*
Aiyo wasted man, go search sonax YouTube on the rim coating lol
The cny sales makes it damn worth it tongue.gif

Well Reza didn't seem like a morning person, and luckily so am I XD

To make apples to apples comparison, your lighting, exposure and everything else needs to be the same for both pics. Usually, manual mode is used to capture to ensure you fix the metering and not let the camera decide. You mentioned the EXIF is intact but I cannot see it.

Anyway, the first pic looks like the black car was metered and therefore the camera "thinks" it's dark and tends to brighten the pic. That is why your black car colour is a little washed out. You can see also that the whites on the bright fluorescent lamp on your garage and your neighbours are washed out and it's not in the 2nd pic.

Take some -ev exposure compensation on your 1st pic and you'll see it matches your 2nd.  smile.gif

Having said that, it would be better if you had taken the pic out in the sun. Some may call it placebo effect, but I don't doubt your observation and that it does make dark coloured cars darker. Most importantly after the hard work put in, the end result is the owner feels satisfied.
*
- I used manual mode, however it is my Xperia Z1 so there is a limit on what I can control

- Click on photo details to the right for the EXIF data

- first picture is on 1/13 shutter while the second is on 1/40 so yes it is a bit brighter. You could however compare the background picture such as the tiles and gate

- Both pictures are taken at night, 9 PM /2 am so background lighting should be the same

- Not sure if you've seen tranquility black Proton cars before but the basic idea is that it's not very black as the metallic particles are too much /bright. I have to admit that the poor boy glaze did not solved the issue 100%,it does help alleviated the problem. To fully solve it you'll have to re spray

- Yes when I get home I can try playing with the ev compensation to match both pictures biggrin.gif

2. Meg's wheel brightner and degreaser will kill your normal nozzle spray. You need to use a chemical resistant nozzle spray.
*
oh ya using supposedly CR osren spray bottle, super degreaser no problem
wheel brightener killed 2 sprayers.

With the wheel brightener, i found that you'd need to 'rinse' the internals of the sprayer using plain water after use & before storage. There's some sort of residue that would dry up and clump the sprayer nozzle & piston. For wheel brightener, of all the yeats i'm using it, i only had one quit on me.

nvm la, praise be the sonax sprayers laugh.gif

Krismas Oh ya with the Sonax nano windscreen washer additive, it'll leave a stain on the bonnet

Not sure if that's how it works alone (the surfactants /nano particles) or if it reacted with my existing rain x washer fluid additive (which over the years it left minimal to no stains at all)

At the very least if there any stains, car wash /qd/natural rain would easily remove them.

This stain, require uqd multiple passes and there's still minor left over doh.gif

The very reason why I AM and WILL ALWAYS BE on distilled water in the windscreen washer water reservoir. Even tap water would also cause those. Btw, better check your car roof too..... sweat.gif
