http://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty

Assuming you get 800kh/s out of your cards, total 3200kh, you'd get roughly 0.75 btc a month if you mine litecoin only. This can change as the difficulty adjusts every 3.5 days or so.

You can also mine other coins, which potentially can get you more, depend la lol. Maybe 0.75 to 1.5 btc. If really lucky, few btc a month
Btc price fluctuates, you can check at bitcoinwisdom as well.
It's still very nice side income. Definitely more than FD and EPF by a mile

1.5 btc equals how much USD?

thats if the value stay as 573usd. You need to put electricity consumption & hardware issue in consideration which is a big factor too in terms of profits.

i would suggest to buy some coins & hold while you are mining since the coins are consider 'cheap' now if you want to get a headstart.

buying thru paypal is it?

not really, it all depends on when you sell the Bitcoins for $$ and the market price at the moment you sell. A few months back its 1kUSD/btc. Now its just half that value. When I started mining back in 2011 prices was 5USD/btc smile.gif

gosh, so summing up all these years, u could earn a house right?

You can buy through exchanges such as Bitstamp, Btc-e or China ones like Huobi or Okcoin
Check the prices on bitcoinwisdom under markets tab, some places are cheaper

I'm not gonna recommend if you should buy or not. What's 'fair' value for one btc? The price can change quickly
Don't invest any amount that you can't afford to lose smile.gif

if it worth my time if i start mining now? gonna buy another 3 gpu if i do so...

it dip for a while but shot back up after. smile.gif mtgox shutting down will not affect BTC much. in fact, i believe its a good time to buy BTC.  because with it the supply of BTC will be in shortage and the price will rise again.

back when I started, ppl say the closing down of silkroad (online drugs) and the armoury(online fire arms). will kill BTC. tat was years ago. BTC is still running strong.

There is a limited supply of btc. 21million to be exact. So, if mtgox close, then those btc stuck inside them will be gone forever. or those raided by the FBI from silkroad and the armoury, those BTC are gone forever. unless someone  can retrieve the HDD which has the BTC wallet in it. hmm.gif

So if you buy 1 BTC and hold it. Then there will be 1 BTC less in the market to circulate.Hence the shortage of BTC.

oic, why do people need BTC anyway? i mean who will b kind enuf to giv u USD in exchange of your BTC? what can they do with BTC and will pay u real money for the virtual money that u 'mine'?

Ah the why. Imagine to day you want to wire transfer 500USD from Malaysia to USA. The bank will makan fees all throughout the process, and it will take a few weeks. In the end you only get like 400USD.

With BTC if today I send 1 BTC to my friend in US he will get 1 BTC immediately smile.gif

Im not sure about others here. The reason i mine BTC is so that I can buy stuff online, pocket money so to say.

Stuff I bought with BTC
Sony 5.1 Pulse Headset
Victoria Secret (for my wifu)
Titanfall CE
Jinx Apparels (for myself and kids)
ASIC miner smile.gif

But if you want to make a steady income with BTC. I suggest not, because the price is too volatile one minute it can be 1kUSD the next it can be 200USD.

eg. for u,how much time u nid to spend in front of the computer to mine? can i ask other ppl to help me mine?

1 sec to click and launch the miner... then can do other stuff....except playing intensive 3d games.(assuming GPU mining)
