Btcchina price was lower than $400 per BTC at one point.

The rest of the exchanges around the world will follow this price on the next arbitrage cycle.

For miners, ROI in 1 year still consider very good.

No other business can give u ROI that fast lo.
*
Problem with BTC mining is, if you can't get ROI in 3 months, you will never be able to get back the investment.

If anyone interested in buying litecoin miner or hosting or both, send a pm.

Thank you

you can always sell off the equipment after 3mths. heck even 333MHs USB miner selling for usd50-60..
*
A 333 M hash miner cost more than 5k USD 3 months ago. It is a specialize hardware design to do one thing and one thing only.

How many coin were mine in 3 months? Is it better off buying 5k worth of BTC 3 months ago vs buying a miner and mine for 3 months?

And after 3 months, that 5k USD miner go for 50-60 USD? Did the buyer able to recoup the cost and by how much when compare to owning coin directly?

How much risk was taken when the buyer order a miner? Since most buyers can only take pre-order with company of no record of delivering on time.

With that being say, I like to offer to sell 1.6M hash lite coin miners. Delivery will probably be after New Year. The miner still have at least 50% value after one year (graphic card still worth more than 50% after a year).

Do ROI calculation on litecoin mining and risk analysis and see which one is better. Send a pm if anyone is interested in buying and hosting the miner with me.

Thank you

My bad. Messing up Giga HASH with Mega Hash since I have converted to litecoin mining.

That asic eruptor is pretty worthless the day it is sold as it will never ROI unless you mine peer coin.

I like to add that I did pre-order KNC Jupiter when bitcoin only worth less than 150 USD. That machine cost over 6k USD. When bitcoin went from 200 usd to 1200, Jupiter price only double while network difficulty went up 10 times.

any idea where to get cheap hosting for avalon ?
*
With 20 miners, you will probably need to rent at least 1 office and pay electricity at commercial rate.

You can put up to 14-16 miners into one office which will cost you around RM 1.3-1.5k rent, which round up to around RM 105 per machine per month (or RM 3.5 per day per machine). Electricity will be your biggest expense, but paying at commercial rate is cheaper than paying at resident rate with 20 miners.

Hosting at data center will cost you a lot more since they rent out space measure in "rack space".

If you want to find a space to host them, I happen to know one. Let me know if you are interested.

You interested in buying miner?

I have 8 miners running and 2 more current in production.

Each one run at 1.6 mh/s. Return of investment is around a year assuming price stay constant and network difficulty didn't go up too high.

Anyone interested in 10% yield investment? That is, you will not get involved in any day to day operation of the business.

How you would like to get the payout over time can be negotiated.

Send pm if interested. Can also meet in person if you are in KL.

Hah. Seems like the profitable golden age of mining altcoins is going to end soon.
*
Return of investment is still fairly high.

Remember, the GPU still have more than 50% after one year.

Bitcoin mining, on the other hand have life expectancy of less than six months.

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

And the miner will be useless after that. It is also subjected risk like rate dropping and delivery problem (asic miner).

i tot it was never that profitable before november when ltc was below 8usd? biggrin.gif
*
Not true at all.

The difficulty was low back then and the return of investment is still well over 100% annualized.

The huge price jump in Nov make people who have the infrastructure get back their investment in less than 1 months if there have been mining before Oct.

i see. so now i guess we're back to the usual 6~12 months ROI?  sweat.gif
*
Somewhat true if you assume the hardware is useless after one year. ROI is more if you can sell GPU and bare bone system for good price. Or if you can still beat the electricity rate with the hash rate, you can keep running the miner until the rent and electricity cost greater than what you get back in coin.

Not many investment in the real world give this kind of return without you being the owner. REIT investment only provide around 8% rate and it is a billion dollar market cap industry.

Not to mention scam like Geneva gold scheme only promise a little over 20% and many people fall for it.

100% is dem slow la. you know in nov and dec, can ROI in like 1mth for the GPU right?
*
People who just started in Nov and Dec run into GPU shortage issue. And litecoin price only stay above $40 usd for less than a week.

So, people who started just started in Nov probably didn't have the chance to cash out or even have the miner bring online to run long enough to recoup the capital cost.

talking nonsense.. until 1st week of december still can got alot of stocks, and buy 10-20 pieces of 280x in lowyat.. got people order 30-50units also.
*
You can get supply in Malaysia largely due to luck and some unknown issues.

Most retail stores and internet retail stores in US run out of supply. R9 290 was selling for $600-700 USD on ebay beginning of December. Even riser cable price went up many folds.

I started the mining operation around that time, was debating if I should buy the card here and sell abroad for instant profit or do mining for longer term profit.

Guess I should sell rather than mine when the price is good. But no one can predict the price in the future or the network difficulty.

*
Supply is no longer an issue because alt coin mining no longer provide high monthly yield. If litecoin price is 80-100 usd right now, believe me we will run into shortage again.

Now that more and more Malaysian are into mining, I suspect we won't be as lucky as last time.

It doesn't make sense...

You mean to say all i have to do is to buy mining cards...keep my PC switch on..and wallah, the PC will mine bitcoins for me?

Its just like FB's farmhouse.

There is no economy, do demand and supply. I am not seeling any product or services to anybody. I am just earning my money by keeeping my mining card switch on. Doesn't add up.

Your question is the utility function of virtual coin such as bitcoin.

The main function is to facilitate the payment settlement between consumer and merchant. Or if you are a corrupt politician and want to move a large sum of money oversea, you can also use bitcoin to do money laundering to move out your money.

Black market also use bitcoin to settle trade. If you like to purchase drug, counterfeit passport, or hire someone to kill someone you hate, you need to use bitcoin to pay them.

Hope this answer your question.
