I wanted to run from my laptop but super slow.

USB miner is only about 333 Mhash. You get only 0.7196 USD per month with that hashrate running 24/7.

USB miner got 2Ghs variant already? ahhh outdated.

The one I thought of buying last time was the Sapphire USB that's 333Mhs.

But hor 2Ghs also get only 4.326 USD per month.

Not really, it's very easy to setup 290 and 290X. Most people don't like 290X mining because of the higher price premium. It is intended for high end gaming anyways.

280X if you manage to undervolt them they can run really cool. 290 you better find models with hynix ram, then you can get high hashrates, very easy to obtain 900kh/s. Elpida ram 290 maxed at 870kh/s like that.

Fastest 290 can get 930-950kh/s
Fastest 290X is 985kh/s

Both are freaking hot when crunching.

I saw people can undervolt the 280X by alot and it can still run stable. Kind of like my old HD7870, can easily minus 0.1 volts and still run stable at full 400kh/s 

It's nearly impossible to undervolt 290 and 290X, it seems AMD has designed the powertune 2.0 on these cards to run about ngam-ngam with the frequency and voltage combo.

That being said my 290 can run 760kh/s while using less than 200w power hehe

IINM I cut 0.13 volts on my HD7870 last time. That's instant 50 watt power saving and made the card cool too 

I didn't lose anything though haha, I undervolted my HD7870 to the lowest voltage that it still hash and max hashrate 

I only downclocked my current 290 so it won't go overheated in my sealed ventilation room 
It reached 79C while downclocked, if on stock speed it can go over 90C
