Bubbles
Many have mentioned speculative bubbles in connection with Bitcoin.[50][51][52] Professor John Quiggin of the University of Queensland has noted that since Bitcoin by design has no intrinsic value, it is "perhaps the finest example of a pure bubble" currently known, but cautions that we have no way to predict when the value of bitcoins will return to zero.[53]
Nick Colas, a market strategist for ConvergEx Group, has remarked on the effect of increasing use of Bitcoin and its restricted supply, noting, "When incremental adoption meets relatively fixed supply, it should be no surprise that prices go up. And that’s exactly what is happening to BTC prices."[54]
Speculation
Bitcoins are often traded as an investment[55] by speculators who expect the currency to increase in value as its popularity widens.[40][56] Bitcoins have been described as lacking intrinsic value as an investment because their value depends only on the willingness of users to accept them.[57] Their vulnerability to hacking also makes their use as an investment more questionable.[40]
Derivatives of bitcoins are thinly available. One organization offers futures contracts against multiple currencies.[58]
Certain investment funds have shown interest in Bitcoin with Peter Thiel's Founders Fund investing US$3 million, and the Winklevoss twins making a US$1.5 million personal investment.[59]

from wiki.... the value arise from the article written bout it in late 2012...

First mentioned in a 2008 paper published under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin became operational in early 2009.[26] The currency had early technical problems such as a 2009 exploit that allowed the creation of unlimited bitcoins.[30]
On average, bitcoins have appreciated rapidly in relation to other currencies including the US dollar, euro and British pound.[21] In 2011 the value of one bitcoin rapidly rose from about $0.30 to $32, before falling back down to $2.[31] Bitcoin began attracting media attention in late 2012, and numerous news articles have been written about it. In 2013, some mainstream services such as OkCupid, Baidu, Reddit, Humble Bundle and Foodler began accepting it.[32] That year also saw the first interventions by law enforcement. Assets belonging to the Mt. Gox exchange were seized, and the Silk Road drugs market was shut down.[33]

like that lo usually for. ppl mining then exchange for btc. they no intend to do buysell also. hence, why these coins are called 'scamcoins'.

the procedure :

1. see bitcointalk alternate crypto subforum
2. wait for new coin launch
3. after new coin launch faster go mining
4. petition to include in exchange like cryptsy or others
5. after include in exchange faster go dump it.
6. repeat (1)

After that, of course with some tweaking and nom nom nom.

I'm using Eligius as my primary pool, with BitMinter as my secondary pool in case ammoshaf happened on the main pool.

Eligius Stats (From 2:37-3:22) ~~ 45 minutes mining (with few minute downtime due to testing and tuning)

user posted image

I've earned approximately 0.015BTC~~USD14

Roughly 0.02BTC/hour ~ USD19/hour

System will run 24/7 nonstop ~ USD450/day at current USD965/btc rates.

In case anyone wondering how much I spent. Everything is paid in cash and not BTC. So I'm not affected by the BTC rate on that time.

Machine - USD5200 (incl shipping)
1050W PSU - Free (Given by friends)
Electricity consumption - Output around 660W at the moment
Electricity bill? - Did not even make a dent in my profit

The profit will be shared only by me and my brother as we are the only one forking out all the money.

Will purchase Neptune soon once this goes smoothly.

do u intend to provide shares for jupiter later? since i guess most of us here intend to buy but doesn't have that much money. so probably someone sometime later would provide like for example 20 shares, 1 share around 2k USD just like in bitcointalk group buy.

and since you have safe trader tag, it's more feasible. icon_idea.gif

Currently, Jupiter ready stock worth about USD20k. I'm not planning to do any sharing at the moment, but for Neptune, I am considering it. I have the capital to play with 2 units of USD12k. Maybe in future lol.

Is there any secret? No la lol. I ordered around 25th of October for November unit. biggrin.gif

I'm just glad that my unit does not have any issues at all.

There's 768 cores in this machine, and there's not even single defect here.
