How much i spend? Hmm roughly 250 for the kit (bought when yen was 0.032) and another 200-300 for paints, thinner, masking tape, custom decals, etc etc. Cant giv u actual figure since its quite long ago.

As for review, its an old kit so dun expect it'll compare well against new stuff like Nu or 3.0. It has very limited articulation due to design aka a brick; its a beautiful brick but a brick nonetheless. The external fuel tank connection is extremely week since the joint is so small and the tank is so heavy, it'll end up loose and droopy. The BFG is hard to pose with in hand and dull looking if u dun paint it. The big booster is also quite dull looking without paint to bring out the detail. It cant stand on its own (well technically it can but it'll stand with a weird angle and ridiculously unstable). Major seam lines along the external fuel tank, but thats the only major panel line on the kit though the rest r hidden quite well. Nub marks r ok for a 2004 kit. Bloody crappy sticker for the wing flap. Pain in the arse transformation process. Other then that overall its ok considering its a 2004 kit, its quite solid as well despite being a transformable kit. Its the best bang for buck kit out there, u'll get lots and lots of plastic for a 8000yen kit. The only "modern" kit thats is comparable in size and amount of plastic is The-O but thats way more expensive and even then not as much plastic as Ex-S. Its build time is about that of a PG, not because of its complexity but because of its sheer amount of plastic. Give it a try if u r curious, but only if u hav experience building transformable kit and/or old kit.
*
Thanks for the review!

Yes I won't expect much from a 2004 kit. I have only made a couple of MGs so far and been trying to get a new kit lately, also not planning to finish it quick but rather a long and slow work. smile.gif

and yes again, a badass looking brick.

I really like the red color chest piece on the S Gundam but sadly it's not on the EX-S. Only the coming FW made it possible.

u can do it in mg. Just remove the white armor chest attachment and voila.
*
oh really?

No wonder the EX-S sold better than the S.

I was looking for some badass looking Gunpla for weekend project, initially thought I should go for the GP03 or the GP01 (RG) but after some searching managed to stumble upon the EX-S. Got a little bit into reading and watching reviews.

Saw the neograde conversion kit too, really beef up the EX-S.

btw, any ETA for the MG Sazabi?

Also where can I look for "vintage" kit? laugh.gif

Formania Sazabi is too much for a poor person like me tongue.gif
ver ka also quite pricey to me, but at least need to put in less work compared to the resin one tongue.gif but i would love to try a resin kit one day when i can afford it and have more skills to paint and detail
*
Yes, resin kit cost a lot. sweat.gif

Some day I guess. sad.gif

Formania (GK): can wash with leveling thinner, easy to sand, but once drop, it broke. Some part u may nee to use glue. Some Kit is for display, they dont have the joinment & articulation. Even it provide peg for joinment, it may loose.

well, u can try to get a Dress up GK (if available) if u wan articualtion. BUt the Ver ka design already well enough.
*
Thanks for the thoughts on resin kit. We should probably stay behind the fence now. sad.gif

OMG WHERE CAN I FIND SINANJU MG OVA IN KAYELLE?!!

pardon for the full caps. smile.gif

I can't seem to find any more Sinanju MG OVA or even the ver KA.

Went to Times Square and no luck, according to Game Arena at the 7th Floor, MG Sazabi will probably reach here next month, hopefully.

Price unknown.

I recently cocntacted a seller on FB, not sure if he's also selling here in LYN but if you need the full saber, you can enquire at this page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gunpla-Shop-...ne/148313803938

He told me this week should have stock.

Btw, anywhere to get decals for QanT?

Sazabi WIP. Finally done with the inner frame, now start my sakit buntut-ly painting process for his red armor.

p/s: I tried use 'Gun Metal' and 'Light Gun Metal' to create some contrast, ended up looks like same  doh.gif  The silver you saw here is 'Silver Leaf' from Tamiya.

Just finished the painting, tmmr will do the decal. But guys, don't you all think that this Sazabi actually don't need any additional decal? (In fact I afraid it will become over-decorated)

[attachmentid=3799408]

[attachmentid=3799409]

(Yeap, mine is traditional color scheme for Sazabi)
*
so nais, would you mind take some daylight photos? brows.gif

Additional decals are totally up to personal preference IMO, some thinks it could be an eyesore, some think it could be much more badass and some might think it could be over.

Again, apply on personal preference. biggrin.gif
