any grade of any gundam is possible ...
i dont see if they have problem making mg kshatriya .. probably bandai just dont feel like it ... haha..

no such thing as complexity or too technical or difficult for them ... they always have ways to make it ..
*
they did announce that they tried making MG Kshatriya, but the technology at that time made it too unfeasible, so they cancelled that prototype, delay the project until it's possible in future

is there any alternative top coat that all you sifus use beside mr. top coat?
*
most hardware stores' spray cans would do, though it's extremely hard to find Flat/Matte types

QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Jan 4 2014, 07:42 PM)
im not saying ur mouth is sour. im saying u r setting up urself for disappointment and eventually leave a sour taste in ur mouth.

while it may or may not hold true to u, but ur post suggest otherwise. U urself may not be a fanatic, but there r such ppl lurking and/or posting. U may not be disappointed, but ur post gives such ppl hope. U r setting up their disappointment. There r tons of fans who begin with such expectation, who truly think that in due time everything will be made and every kit that u dream off will be true. It all starts from having an unrealistic expectation. Such fans ultimately turn into whiners after years and years of constant disappointment, got piss off and leave the hobby, and in doing so scaring new ppl away.

Just look at gundamguy blot post or youtube post. How many of them r whining and complaining "Where is my xxx kits", "Screw u bandai, giv me my xxx kits", "u suck bandai hu the hell cares for xxx kits, i want yyy kits", "im not paying bandai a single cent if tey don make zzz kits".

All im doing is to give reason to why such thinking is unrealistic, give reason as to why such and such kits will/wont be made. Tone down ppl expectations inject reality and induce crtical thinking. i donwan this place to degenerate into such a cesspool
*
speaking of Gundamguy, I'm still laughing my ass off about those who complained about Wing Proto Zero, they want a true to original design Wing Zero TV

guys, just wanna ask, for those who haz completed their MG Gundam 3.0,
do you use the included stickers inside the box?  sweat.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

cuz i cannot find the seperate water-slide decals selling anywhere at all hobby shops (they say no stock) cry.gif
cuz i am used to using those water slide decals on my gunplas lol, since i always apply Mr Mark Setter & Softer to the decals...

anyone put the included stickers onto the 3.0? will it still look nice like the water slide ones after apply and topcoat?
sorry i've no experience with normal stickers sweat.gif, i can't apply the Setter and Softer on em right?  sweat.gif

//but when i see the cuttings on the stickers, it's really not bad, it's already cut to fit the sizes on each part >o<
need advices lol, shud i just apply the stickers or just scout around hoping they got stock? sad.gif((
*
nothing beats waterslides whistling.gif

last resort, buy from HLJ tongue.gif

QUOTE(ichiglance @ Jan 7 2014, 09:05 PM)
Thank you.  Nic, how much thinner ratio should I set for that?  Paint 1:2thinner ok?
*
1:2 to 1:3, depends on your preference
higher ratio requires painting more layers

for me who is lazy, I use 1:1.5, 1 layer is enough tongue.gif
but the AB has higher tendency to get stuck

QUOTE(gundamsp01 @ Jan 7 2014, 09:35 PM)
anyone has better way of masking a certain piece for painting different colour (or a totally different method?) ?

for example the proto zero wing below (the fin is different colour than the other part of the piece) (rightmost in the pic)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

or the front skirt (bottom left in this pic)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

coz now whenever i mask and do airbrush, the paint is not perfect, and i have to mask and fix the area again...really tedious work, not to mention so area are hard to mask as the surface really uneven.
*
which masking tape did you use?
use toothpick to press down the sides of the masking tape to ensure it's fully covered

conventional masking tape, as those are cheaper (much cheaper) to be used and disposed compared to tamiya one,
it can block the paint quite well on unwanted area.

I did use toothpick to press down the side, just that in the end, it always tend to be not perfect after airbrushing.
some seniors told me to use enamel paint to handbrush the different color part after laying the primary color.
and if u look at the pic, the front skirt upper part is rinse up, which make the masking abit hard.
*
well, as u said, cheaper tongue.gif
I used to use those, so I know
yes, they are cheap, but they don't stick well
so what I do is, the important edges where I need to mask away I use Tamiya ones, then the centre larger areas I use conventional masking tape
cost more, but save time and trouble icon_rolleyes.gif

i think a lot of people opt for mechanical pencils.. not sure how effective those are as i've never used them.. you can try artline drawing pens.. as small as u can find, i think the smallest in stationary stores are 0.1mm
*
Artline smallest is 0.05
and I found Copic Multi-liner 0.03 in Art Friend shop whistling.gif

gold i try before. nice effect. still not enuf shiny thou. Silver i go for sharpie  tongue.gif

but i recommend use sharpie bcoz the tip is smaller. artline tip is too big for small detailing usage
*
artline has different tip size
900, 990, and 999

I'm from Muar actually. But shops here are seliing it more expensive than melaka's. sweat.gif

Ever bought from taobao before? Price is so much cheaper even compare with seller from here. I'm looking at MG age-1 Titan and its less than 170rmb. After conversion will be less than RM100. 30 to RM40 cheaper.
*
QUOTE(chaukeng @ Jan 11 2014, 12:54 PM)
Shipping for 1KG is only RM9.5.  brows.gif  I will buy a cheaper one to see how is the quality. Some of the sellers in taobao do take extra care in their packaging.
*
Gundam.My is expensive actually sweat.gif
try finding MY Gundam Online in Facebook, it's based in Muar
they might don't have many in stock, but you can order

fyi, 1 box of MG can minimum 2kg, even if 2.1kg, the courier will calculate as 3kg
and MG AGE-1 Titus is RM120, if from Taobao after conversion is RM90, add 2kg shipping, it'll be RM110, not worth the risk

either saw good bargain that is too good to resist, or buy in bulk to be cheaper overall
but most of the time is can't resist the urge to own the kit whistling.gif

those 'run out of stock' are shops' stock, eventually will restock in future when Bandai reproduce
unlike PVC figures, they make 100, means whole worldwide only that 100, sold out means no more in future

Some how i'm hoping this could be normal release instead of Limited..
Love the color.
*
very unlikely, but somehow I felt that it might be normal release, since it only written April 2014 release, no mention of limited or anything hmm.gif

such coincidence that few days ago I fell in love with this colour scheme and I planned to paint some of my kits in this scheme biggrin.gif

EDIT: scratch that, just saw at a website that it's P-Bandai again yawn.gif

ah, right.. i remember reading about the reissues now.. i suppose that is a more sound business strategy, so as to not overstock and make losses.. but some so called P-Bandai exclusives should really get a normal release, like the Rebawoo.. it really stands out and is different enough from the Bawoo to warrant a proper release
*
reissue is a risky move
look at Banshee Ver. Ka, when first released, everybody is crazy about it, people still buy it even at goreng-ed priced
now reissued, plenty of stocks whistling.gif
