the original color consist with many tone red which looks ugly(to me)

all past ver KA doesnt have-multi tone color, ver Ka trademark is more on his massive decals spam
but maybe that will be future for ver KA starting from Nu ver KA

Anyway I have to admit that the reason I painted my Sazabi into traditional color scheme is due to my own fail experiment... I tried to use the "red-spray-on-top-of-darker-surface" to create the tone, but apparently I sprayed the red too thick and fail the whole thing. At the end, I decided to spray it even thicker to make it into traditional color scheme. Good thing is the end result still not bad.

even there is no much details on HG kit, you can make it stand out with decal

but too much decals at unnecessary place make it looks weird

you need to understand the concept for panel lining
panel lining is to imitate the separate part & vent shadow, thus make it a bit realistic

color to panel line is black, gray, and brown(gundam lining pen have all only 3, because it is sense-able color to panel lining)
other color make it looks weird, unless you plan to panel line on fancy Gundam like Gundam X and G Gundam
