X-Note 6.0 Short Review

What I like:
  • New Bootanimation is awesome! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
  • Overall even much solid now. biggrin.gif and I don't find any issue yet. So far so Great!
  • The Network Speed Meter Indicator finally can be disable.
  • CRT screen off animation is working. smile.gif
  • More features add-on, example like 4 way Multi Windows.
  • X-Note Extra Menu came with proper size icon now in Settings. wink.gif
  • 9 different design of SystemUI to choose from at Aroma installation.
What is partially not working but not a big deal:
  • Wanam Xposed Center clock not working even you choose no mod SystemUI. The only way to get the center clock is flash the mod edition - Center clock. Not a big deal here as now have 9 different design of SystemUI to choose from.

What is not yet include:
  • The AOSP pure black systemUI is not there yet. Waiting on this. wink.gif

No need, you can pick center clock during installation. wink.gif

I won't ever use that XBlast anymore, it is superb highly not recommended. It make the whole phone not stable especially the systemUI.

Xblast + Wanam make the SystemUI not stable, it is obvious lag when you pull down and if you continuously pull down, SystemUI will be FC, I try few version already, I am going to 100% ignore that Xblast, I don't like it.

Note 3 is fast enough, re-flash the whole ROM is not a big deal. wink.gif

During Aroma you can pick either Samsung one or AOSP one but you didn't went through Aroma right, means a lot selection is not for you.

Just extract from the zip file and put back via root explorer then.

It can't be install, you need to manual copy to systems/app then set correct permission as rw-r--r-- and restart the phone.

alexng2208, They is 2 known issue under X-Note 6.0
  • Handout Video Call FC. You need either remove it via Titanium Backup or flash the -01_fix_hango...ocall.zip, you can get the file from X-Note Update - Rom Update - fix.
  • Poweramp crash or sound turn to phone when you pause the song via bundle headset. This you need download -fix_poweramp_crash.zip, you can get the file from X-Note Update - Rom Update - fix - Flash This Only ...roblem.

Haha! ok, but if not wrong second one if not fixed, seems no third party Music Player is usable. I didn't use 3rd party Music Player, so no idea, but it do fixed the sound turn to phone when you pause the song via headset when screen is off.

The 2nd fixed is under framework.jar, possible some bugs on that then in initial version.

Anyone with X-Note 6.0 Civato Kernel. Any noticeable more smoothness especially in animation part?

Is the kernel stable? no issue? heat?

What setting you guys use on Civato Kernel? I am noob in setting up any custom kernel.
