Hi all, Based on the excellent post by Xenon here, i'd managed to code to pull out details from a MyKad via a card reader. However, i'm having problem to do a thumbprint match. My reader provides the fingerprint reading function so i'm required to do a biometric verification, but i have no clue on what's the data type that stored on the kad and how should i be comparing it with the data i get from the device.. Any sifu here managed to do it before? Many thanks.

Any recommendation? i have....I tried SourceAFIS (opensource), BioLink and Innovatrics. but that is not even your main issue...Sagem proprietary templates might only be readable by Sagem Morpho library...so you might have to purchase it or if you are lucky, you might be able to get a Sagem device that has the hardware license available.

I doing a final year project now to reader data from our MyKad. I'm able to extract out data from MyKad (with the help of https://github.com/amree/mykad-c). I'm also able to extract out fingerprint data but am not able to process it. One of the function I'm trying to build is to login to my PC using the fingerprint verification against MyKad fingerprint. The fingerprint reader on my laptop only recognise ANSI-378 Format and ISO 19794-2 Format. You mention that MyKad fingerprint are stored in proprietary Sagem templates. Is there anyway to convert it to ANSI or ISO format?

from what i know, only 2 companies can read Sagem templates. Sagem themselves and Dermalog.
