I like this thumbup.gif tried once to help a friend to cancel within cooling period and the agent straight call and talk (in a bad manner) and force him to continue the policy. Too bad I lose to the agent sad.gif , coz he dunwan any trouble from that agent doh.gif

It will be good if more agent like roy is around and Msia insurance association do something to fix these problematic agents

I think they can just called up their previous agent and do the renewal without their presence. That works in my home town, so not sure if it works else where sweat.gif

It is covered in your medical card.

Never had any clients feedback that they need to pay this except when the KPJ Hospital had a funny idea of charging clients for an additional Rm5 per bed sheet (about 3 years ago). shakehead.gif

Imagine going to a 5 star hotel room and to your horror the bed is without bed sheet!

Of course now they had stop this ridicule charge after many people starts to protest. whistling.gif

Charge the bill so high dy still want charge for the bed sheet for another RM5.... doh.gif

Any Prudential Agent can help me to check on my wife's policy??

As such I was told by my wife that the policy includes medical card but I don't see her holding any.

Ask servicing agent to check like colaboy said OR a better and more reliable way is to call customer service and ask them to explain to you.

Best Pru agent that i know roystevenung thumbup.gif

Is there any medical card that offers unlimited coverage (excluding terminal illnesses)?
*
You mean claim limit?
Unlimited lifetime limit = YES
Unlimited annual limit = Never heard of yet, anyone can update?

Looking into buying a new plan soon for the baby coming September  icon_rolleyes.gif
Any good plans for such case?
I'm more to siding education type of insurance where it provides - savings + basic insurance coverage so I don't need to scratch head when he enter college tongue.gif

For me, unless I really need the force saving from the education type insurance, I'll definitely use other financial tools as education fund whistling.gif

If you're risk adverse and only can accept insurance, den by all means get education insurance that mature before you need to pay for your child education, 17yo-18yo. Early termination is very bad on the return.

Okay. Let me explain my current medical card package. I bought it under ING 5-6 years ago.

The annual coverage is RM60k. According to my agent, my lifetime limit which I can claim is RM60*3 --> which is RM180k. Even ING bought over by AIA, the coverage still the same.

I think the lifetime limit is kinda low as it only multiply by 3 from the annual limit.

Is there any other brand which provides Unlimited lifetime limit? I only heard AXA Affin provide that. Why AIA don't have this benefit?  hmm.gif
*
As far as i know, insurance policy features will remain the same as when you bought them even if the company replace them with new product with different features. So that probably explain why your old coverage is still the same.

Last i heard was AIA and AXA. Again med card that come with unlimited lifetime limit, surely are lacking in other features aspect or higher insurance charges or etc. So if you really need the unlimited lifetime limit for peace of mind, just subscribe for another med card smile.gif

QUOTE(ExpZero @ Jul 25 2014, 12:09 PM)
Dear morning 06 and activexxx,

There is none in the market that are providing such coverage of unlimited annual and lifetime limit. However, Great Eastern do have a medical card which the premium can be RM175/month for a 20years old, non smoker, male, occupation class 1 covering annual limit of RM990,000 and unlimited lifetime limit.

We should actually look into annual limit instead of lifetime limit as we are purchasing insurance to hedge for unexpected large risk.
Insurance is one of the financial planning as well as purchasing property, purchasing unit trust etc. All of the financial tool are having different purpose and limitation be it the risk, liquidity and penalty for early withdrawal.

Insurance is always for protection. However you can't compare endowment with ILP and saving plan as all of them having very different financial risk and liquidity.

Don't fall into the trap to maximize your protection in ILP and you might need to top up in the future shall the fund depleted.
*
Ok thanks for clarifying on the annual limit.

I agree that annual limit is important and Insurance is indeed to hedge our risk, and not to be considered when the objective is to look for return/savings. Like you said there are unit trust, property and many other options smile.gif

How much estimated monthly premium for a 30 y.o, non-smoker, male, work in office, good health covering annual limit of RM100,000 and unlimited lifetime limit?
*
My 2c on your situation since you already have an existing med card, you can consider getting a term medical card with unlimited lifetime coverage as a top up. If you have plan to put your cash to good use den you can consider this option. Of course if like everyone else you wanted the perks of ILP, den look around for the ILP that suit your budget and needs notworthy.gif
