I have problem redeeming Xbox Live Gold code bought from Qisahn. Any idea how to?

Chatted with Xbox Support 4 times yesterday, no cigar.

Is the the region? Is it the billing address? Frock.

I'm not sure what region my Gamertag is in. Any idea how to check?

Console region? This is what I have in Settings > System > Language & location

Language: English
Location: US
Spoken language: English US

The address at account.live.com is Malaysia.
The address at account.xbox.com is US.

I'm on Xbox One Elite, no Kinect.

Tried redeem at the console, Windows via IE, Edge and Chrome, and OS X via Safari. All no cigar.

Tried redeem at https://account.xbox.com/ms-MY/PaymentAndBilling/PaymentOptions, returned XbosPurchase
Tried redeem at https://account.xbox.com/en-US/PaymentAndBilling/PaymentOptions, returned XBOS1005

From commerce.microsoft.com, there is MY - Personal account w/ Malaysia address, US - Personal account w/ US address, and US - Business account w/ US address.

When I tried change my account region (not console region), no shit can't do because of the following reasons bla bla minor, bla bla change region recently, bla bla, ongoing something something, which I think doesn't apply to me.

No dice. Still can't redeem the code.

I have no problem redeeming other codes though.

Your suggestion works! I migrated my Live account to US, and now the code is through.
