For those with Android devices and can't download the Smartglass app due to country restriction, go to Evozi APK Downloader site and enter com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass in the Package Name field. You will need to sideload the app to your device though (Allow installation from unknown source in Settings). Hope this helps

The new Xbox One system update just dropped on me. Console restarted and now seems like the entire UI is smoother, instead of the occasional stuttering previously. Was yelling "Xbox On" to no response, turned it on via the controller and got a green progress bar instead. My pins are appearing correctly now too.

I'm in no way invested emotionally nor am I cheerleading any consoles to win or lose. I just find it funny that people need to have their console purchases endorsed with affirmation from the "best or top selling/ largest launch in history/ fastest selling" announcements. Just hooked up my xbox one, wah lau, settings, game installation, really bums the experience. Thought can just hook up n play straight like ps4. Need to wait for update, then need wait to install, freaking ryse is very long.

Once you have done the port forwarding, make sure xbone must completely shutdown and boot again. It happened to me twice (wifi and lan).

I know its just a launch title but the general progression is : Walk in tight corridoor > Fight a couple of dudes > Walk in tight corridoor > Fight a couple of dudes > cutscene > end level And the parts where you form a column with dudes, the cameras cut-off to not show you how many dudes were in the fornation (its actually not even 10). I was hoping with next-gen, we would get a good "thousand of dudes, wide open battlefield" beat-em-up, 'cause at this point Dynasty Warrior memang tak boleh harap so maybe somebody else could do a better job. On the MP side it basically a co-op PvE. Fight a couple of waves of enemies with varying objectives etc. Still can't hit the high which was Gears3's horde mode. Visually the game is impressive though. A lot of times when I was playing I was like 'whoa... ini cutscene ke atau gameplay' However I can see the potential in the Ryse franchise. to other avoid buying a cheap steep down transformer…today got my from ace hardware and after 15 minute my step down burst out and smoke come out…thank god my xbox one are ok if not….

Hi, anyone can help try to check your xbox one up/dl speed?? bcoz since yesterday i only get 5-9mbps until today, normally i hv 17-19mbps. i m so frustrated tweak my router, tried using 3 different router, dmz port forwarding,etc , Nat is open of course, still the same.. this morning test 5mbps... Omg.....

Best option if you know someone there is to get it from Aus.. It's way cheaper because of the currency exchange now.. Got mine at 2.4k for console, additional controller, 2 games and 12+2 Gold..

just got my Xbox One US from Playzone @ 2045 (I think), & Dead Rising 3. Step down transformer, optical audio cable & a new cabinet/rack for both one & 360.
Hopefully I have time to set it up by tomorrow or day after. >.< |

it depends on the build quality of the transformer, im using a 300w step down so far no humming sound, it does gets warm after a long period of using 5-6 hours maybe? bought mine from some local uncle electrical shop

any of you using optical out for audio?...some how using optical out, i can only get audio when set it to 'stereo uncompressed'...if set to dts or dolby, got no sound... |

my receiver does support dolby 5.1 and dts as tested with ps3 blu-ray movie and games that have dolby( metal gear solid 4). i do know that xbox one does not support surround via optical at launch(surround via hdmi only) but i thought its already patched? my bad...i found out my cheap(panasonic) HT actually does not support DTS through optical in, it only support Dolby Digital surround. Side note I just modify the us ac adapter to 240v so it's definitely doable, problem atm is there is 5 different suppliers for the xbox one power brick and the internals r all different.
Might start a modifying service after I do more testing to be sure it is 100% stable. |

lol the IGN review is biased, they left out a part of Xbox One which is Kinect ? why are they showing PS Vita controlling the PS4 interface & left out smart glass for Xbox ?
I would not argue about the other comparison that's because more ppl buys PS4, eventually it would have higher poll. I doubt any sony fan boy out there would say their controller suck ... >.> |

Swap out the over current protection to one that's for 220-240v one, the mod is fully completed and working! If anyone interested pm me for the service tq
Testing with Forza 5 and 4 hrs + working absolutely fine and the power brick is not hot to touch.

I have alot of question about Xbox One.. Since you guys expert on Xbox One user in Malaysia.. 1) the acc, does it need to use US acc? It mean like USA address? 2) who about the first day patch? Does it downloadable in Malaysia.? 3) since i thought i want to buy the Xbox One from Amazon USA, does it need a step down power cord? 4) if i want to play a multiplayer games, does it need a USA ip add? I hope somebody could respond on my question so we can play together in MY Cheer, Tq |

Interesting to know there's a big xbox one community in Malaysia....frankly speaking...I have been hunting ps4 for some time but still have no luck as planning to buy it from the USA as got my bro over there....but now after seeing Xbox one feels like plan to get it then...haha..the only turn down is the price...but it should be no problem to play using US account and xbox live gold membership in Malaysia right?

Eyeing on garden warfare and already pre order my titanfall collector edition. There seems to be more games on the xbox one even RYSE wasn't really that bad not sure how review site can rate Killzone much higher than RYSE my play through ill rate them bout same......

just bought xbox one few days ago, anyone facing the same issue like me? the adapter is really really, i mean really really really noisy! buzzing sound is driving me crazy, call up the sales person, he say is normal.. i was like wtf? how can it be normal zzzzz........

It's like comp psu sometimes u can one that buzz or will buzz over time, it shouldn't blow up or anything. Some ppl will hot glue the coil inside the psu to damp the noise. |

yes. exactly. the big brick inside is a fan, and when use my hand near the hole i can feel air blowing out! so is it common to be so noisy? the brick is connected to my xbox one, if i change the brick i need to find one that can actually connect to xbox?

the brick should be whisper quiet, the buzzing noise should be from transformer.
however, even though if it comes from the powerbrick, the nouse could be from it's coil or transister, it's annoying but since you cannot just simply claim even from US it as it's still functioning... well I guess you need to bear with it~~~~~ |

who hav both console? which do u prefer to play.. i already hav ps4, but now think to change to xbox.. just to feel the diffrence if any? i am a dad with 2 children.. so mybe xbox with kinect will serve them the best when they grown up..

The only reason why I bought Xbox is because I too heard ps4 camera is very poor in capturing movement! I never regretted buying xbox cos the fun and laugh I had when playing zomba fitness with wife and 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son is priceless! U will laugh till u drop and seriously worth every penny spend! The only complaint I have so far is the stupid brick is so noisy at times, but now I am getting used to it.
Also anyone face this issue? Is there another brick that does the same function but less noise? I see someone reply that my set is uk set? How do u know that? Maybe later I have time I post my xbox photo Also who want to swap my battlefield 4? I feel a bit dizzy after playing |

most of us here bought US set, which is 110v so we need a step down/up transformer to change the power voltage to 220v-240v, certain transformer had buzzing sound probably its the build quality ?

Its not a mod adapter i have one with me dat i dont use cos its very noisy. I think its better you tell the seller to get you the original adapter so you can use it with a transformer. |

i have china imitation power supply from taobao...its working fine, no buzzing sound but its very hot compared to original xbox one power supply.

There is quite a few 3rd party one the one they sell in play Asia is the worst it runs hot and noisy but it's cheapest, from taobao u can actually buy ori used one for about 150 ringgit not including shipping.

I think he should still have the original one, if u r paying xtra and seller didn't give u ori one then it's pretty dodgy he's earning more money than he should.... Swap it back at least I can mod it to use in Malaysia rather than u using some crap 3rd party one or u can spend more money ordering from taobao. |

That's y ppl modify the ori instead since the ori brick can do 240v just Microsoft somehow feel the need to lock it down to one instead of like 99% of consumer electronic nowadays which do dual voltage...... hey guys i am just curious, if i can find one adapter from UK for the xbox one, means i can use it? eventhough my xbox is a US unit, i can use the UK adapter and dont require any transformer, right?
