Have you setup a valid US address on your account? For me, the experience buying games on US account using local cards/paypal is inconsistent. Sometimes you can, and sometimes you can't. Best way is to just go to Amazon.com and purchase the Xbox credits (Amazon accepts our local cards last I check).

You're just dreaming things up. I have UK Xbox One with US account. No problem buying any games or DLCs. Regarding the price, I can't see why shops want to sell US set more expensive than the local one. Maybe their buying price is high?

Problem with redeem codes are that it doesn't really auto download. So what you might try is go to the store and search for the game. The buy button should now says install.

You do not need to own a game first before purchasing any add-ons. To me it's likely some kind of purchase issue. I'd suggest you go and contact support and ask them about this problem.

45.6GB and yeah, it's 20gb but not really a patch, more like MP contents. They should've made the MP content a separate DLC so that those preordered the physical version can get it ready before their copy of the game arrive.

Actually, the 20gb content will be made available at a later date, but before the game launch. So you'll end up with 45.6gb + 20gb. From their reply on Twitter, you will need to have Instant On mode + auto download/update purchases enabled. It's just I'm not sure how to initiate the download. Do I need to leave the console on, or turn it off?

Last time I can use my Maybank debit card but that's in March. Not sure about now. The easiest way (without try and error) is to buy the Xbox credits from Amazon and redeem the code to purchase the game. I did my Halo MCC preorder like that.

They did. I bought my Halo MCC using the $60 credit bought from Amazon! Just make sure you pick online game code or something and not the physical card and you should be good to go.

Yes, all my games (and apps) are inside my external. It's only 1TB. There's no gameplay impairement whatsoever since the requirement for storing games on external is that the drive must be a USB 3.0. However, if you restore your console to factory setting, initial launch of a game/app will take some time as the OS need to initialize it. Then it will launch as usual.
