Hey guys, I'm not very familiar with xbox. But recently I bought an xbox one for my little cousin.
The console came with Halo included but not the CD, just the serial key.

The problem is his internet in Seremban is terrible and he only managed to download 25% so far after 3 weeks.
I'm wondering if its possible to download from my pc. My internet is good, and they provided me the serial key.

you cannot download on your pc and transfer over, all you can do is downloading using that Xbox One. is that the Halo Master Chief edition or Halo 5? those games are atleast 60gb above not including the first day patch that could be 5-10gb if im not wrong.

you pretty much need a good internet connection for all this new gen consoles atleast unifi 5mb/streamyx 4mb/8mb is required

Its the Halo Master Chief edition I think. The one that comes with kinect. They included a few of the older halo games, except the first one in the box, but its the serial key instead of the CD so that's the problem.

I think it's possible to just copy over the downloaded files from a different console. Meaning, on the console, just claim the game key, but don't install. Then, copy the game files from another console into an external hard drive, and copy from the external hard drive to your cousin's console.

Anyone using the Xbox one controller with 3.5mm jack via the microusb connected to PC ? I found most customers' feedback about the microusb are very bad. Micro-usb always disconnecting and bend the head of the micro usb cable....eventually the micro usb port end up not functioning anymore.

From commerce.microsoft.com, there is MY - Personal account w/ Malaysia address, US - Personal account w/ US address, and US - Business account w/ US address.

Xbox Live Gold is not region locked as far as I know. Have you tried redeem the code by using VPN?

Hmm i think most probably your issue is on the live account is set to MY, there is no Live support for Malaysia.

Before you do the steps below, are you first time trying to get Xbox Live? or it was previously working?

Try change your console region to SG & try redeeming again? if it doesnt work then you can try the steps below.

You can change your region to SG/US at Xbox.com > click on your name > microsoft account > your info > edit your personal info > change it to SG/US. use a fake address if you have to, yours should be showing MY. (Previously region switching is only allowed a few times over a year not sure if they have changed this) Give it another try?

Thats great! so the conclusion is Live account cannot be under MY because its not in the supported region even though Live code is region free.
