Does the OTA updates keep on prompting after updating? im not even sure whether the updates were installed or not. The phone just rebooted while running the script in recovery mode.

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Dec 3 2013, 05:03 PM) Need to use Philz for less bug or bug free installation. Many flash with TWRP had issues. Can install No issue actually. Just have to manually flash the OTA zip file. Everything is working fine. S-health doesnt work. Do our note 2 have pedometer? Dr Ketan's Multi Tools for multi recovery options. |

QUOTE(maxubex @ Dec 3 2013, 05:37 PM) Ok cool, if TWRP is working fine, then I dont need to flash multi tool.. 2 different things. Flash the OTA zip file>Reboot>Get the OTA updates(a zip file will be saved to internal sd)>Flash the zip file in recovery. One question, when u mentioned flash manual OTA zip file, is it the same file in step 2 (2-After first boot download & flash this file)? even u using philz also need to manual flash this file correct, or is it u mentioning diff file? I did this a few hours ago. |

So many asking for MY 4.3 update...just wait la...
Even if you ask anyone here we can't give you an exact date. Better ask bomoh or ask samsung themselves. You got 3 options. 1. Flash firmware from other countries that received their update. 2. Flash custom rom. 3. Call samsung and force them to roll the update immediately. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Mar 24 2014, 05:45 PM) oh goodie... * watch video - no issuecan you let me know... on average use... any issues? well, actually, need someone to help me check, if can... the things i normally do: * watch video * use pen to crop and share stuff... * screen capture with pen hope u dun mind me asking you coz... i sometimes see the latest posts on the XDA thread and i see ppl reporting this is broken, that is broken... but seriously, its kinda stable, right? RC or not... coz i think so far, the stable version is still 4.3... * use pen to crop and share stuff... - no issue even with screen write, u can even use the air command for screen write. * screen capture with pen - if you are talking about holding the pen button to capture then no problem at all Battery wise - not bad actually...i've been using AOSP rom for 6 months so touchwiz rom has better battery life than aosp rom. This RC is based on 4.4.2 IINM. To flash this a full wipe is a must. I didnt read much from xda coz i took this rom from a friend to test it. My issue now is only the superSU. Cant seem to open it but doesnt say that i lost my root. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Mar 24 2014, 06:52 PM) The superSU thing is a documented issue with KitKat leaks. Your root is fine (the superSU binary), it's just the app that has issues with the Sammy leaks. Agreed on the browser part. It's the only thing i miss. In short, nothing to be worried about. That said, still don't see any benefits of upgrading to KK yet. Gonna stick to my ancient Wanamlite 4.0 for now; so I don't lose my favourite app: the old AOSP base browser with pie controls. Try as I might, I've never tried any browser that is even remotely as intuitive. Not yet anyway. Here's hoping N5 won't disappoint. QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Mar 24 2014, 07:07 PM) 1 - Install lastest superuser Ah...i got the latest supersu. So no issue then. I didnt know that i can't write on external. Now that i open es file explorer i can see that my folders are not writable. Thanks for info.2 - Install Sdcardfix since it's kitkat , u cant write on external sd Those 2 are the main problem of RC which havent been fix |
