Hi guys, after read all the stickies at XDA and here. I got a few questions that which I wanted clarify and confirm with senior user here before start my 1st flashing. Especially to those that using Phoenix ROM. laugh.gif P/s: I have EFS backup already.

1. Which Philz recovery version are the most suitable for this ROM? The official Phil3759 tread @ XDA are offering V6.0.4.6 where in Phoenix ROM tread, OP recommend to go with Philz 5.15.0.

2. There's no need to change / reselect the CSC even after installed custom recovery right? (P/s: Since I'm using the current XME version.)

3. After Flashing Phoenix V16, I still need to flash the WiFi patches by Dr. ketan right? And it wont affect anything after that even I went to V16.7 via OTA?

4. MJ5 bootleader is just fine with our Malaysia telco signal? Or I should stick to MK1. (As checked in SamMobile, Malaysia XME set are running on KM1.)

Above is what I which to know for now to continue my flashing journey. Had got everything prepared, just needed to make sure all doubts are clear before take the 1st step. thumbup.gif

Thanks in advance for senior that read my post & reply!

1. Nothing will go wrong with Philz 5.15

2. no need.

3 & 4. Flash wifi patch only if ur wifi can't on after flash. If u flash MJ5 BL ur wifi is good no need to patch. MJ5 is just fine.. Just follow the exact instruction and u will be allright. ready with ur v16, flash it and continue directly flash 16.7

Yo! Thanks for the heads up cikelempadey. Seems there's nothing much I need to worry now. Will proceed with the flashing once I got my phone fully charge. Thanks again. thumbup.gif

Decide to go with Phoenix rom cause it's smooth and motherfuc*ing battery saving!!!!!!!!
Haven't decide whether install  devil kernel or not..

Just go with it. Currently using Phoenix, so far so good after fixed several unaware issue.

Rom is sleek and responsive. Batt life, need not to say. 13hrs standby 3.5hrs SOT still can have 45%. And yet, running on stock kernel. Lel.

Guys i am dilemma whether should upgrade to note 3.

my note 2 been good to me till today.  I feel hard hearted to sell it off. Never send to Samsung sc before.

never had any issue.  Is it worth to replace note 2 with note 3?

after updated to 4.3 abit laggy beside that its excellent.

what you guys think? Need a 2nd opinion
*
The lag ya mentioned happens on a custom rom or the stock rom? Well, I'm kind having the same thought as you before but decided to go with custom rom for a trial and surprisingly the N2 like gained a new life.

Might can give a try on stock rom! But probably can ignored my msg if you already loaded in custom rom. tongue.gif

so serious. OMFG..

Like what bro Eiraku said, there's still no 100% knox free for Note 3 yet. So best is to stay with N2 for now until N3 fully have its knox be cracked. For God sake, warranty claim is > than going to custom rom. biggrin.gif

To be fair, SME doesn't seem to *enforce* the whole Knox thing. I've heard people who tripped their Knox and claimed warranty with no issue. Like their whole stance on rooting before anyway.
Emphasis on "heard" though.

But better play safe. Keep it at safe line if can. flex.gif

Wanna ask Phoenix Rom user here. Anyone having issues with updating the Samsung Apps? Especially the latest S-Note. I can download the updates but I can't install it. It shows the msg "Installation Failed. Try later. (-13)."

Anyone know what is the issue?

v17 of can update without a problem...

Try for quite a few times, include clean everything via Clean Master > restart > re-download the package from Samsug Apps but still unable to update. It's giving "Installation Failed. Try Again. (-13)" coding.

Version of S-Note: 3.0.0.2518541 from Samsung Apps

Am good with 16.7 so far, only one thing that bugged me is the build in S-Note cannot be upgrade, and the rest are good.

I was from PR v16.7

I tried V17 and having random FC alot.  Cytus game a bit laggy to play.

I Tested SlimKat 4.4.2 stable 3.0  so fast and smooth, got lots of free ram and game play really smooth especially Cytus.  But I miss the S-Pen features.

Then I tried DN3 4.4.2 KitKat RC1    This is a really smooth ROM and playing Cytus is not bad at all.

Yestreday, DN3 release RC2.  It got S5 Touchwiz and a few of it leaked features.  This one got many bug that need to be fix.  But no FC yet.

Wow bro you really flasholic! biggrin.gif

I'm good for V16.7 I think I might as well just stick to it since I need a rockstable system.

Btw, thanks for the head up! thumbup.gif
