QUOTE(lamjunrong @ May 25 2014, 12:51 PM) going for Phoenix? i was on it a few days ago, and the thing that makes me opt out is because it eats up a lot of ram. I restart the phone, clean dalvik cache, freeze up a lot of unused apps, the ram usage is like 1GB to 1.2GB, for no reason and like open up a few social media app, it straight go to 85% of the total ram usage... maybe this is my case, phoenix still a good one since the beginning! one thing to ask, I have the S Health app, but the pedometer is not working, is it lake of hardware on my note 2? or how is the pedometer in S Health working? I wonder why people worried about ram. I don't mind if ram usage is high. What I don't like is lag while playing high fps games. For now pheonix rom v18.8 is smooth. Dislike the boot .img , flash it with S5 boot .img ^ ^ Note 2 doesn't have the hardware for pedometer.

QUOTE(lamjunrong @ May 25 2014, 09:48 PM) wonder when android phones gonna have good ram management like WP8 or iOS, no need to like clean cache or ram everytime... btw, mind share how you flash or install the boot.img? thru odin or TWRP? i really like the colorful S5 boot hmm, then i can 'happily' remove the S health, tot can put it into good use For the S5 boot animation (It work with Phenonix rom 18.8 and DN3 v5) Go here : Mr.Bola Galaxy S5 Ported AppsDownload the Boot animation and flash it through recovery.

QUOTE(azim61 @ May 26 2014, 08:47 AM) any noticeable bug so far? stuck at 4.1.2 since last year wanna try KitKat but want to try at least a stable one you use MJ5 bootloader? Philz recovery what version u recommend to use? the developer of phoenix rom said use 5.15.0 Only 1 problem I got after fresh install is Note 3 pen windows port application, but I fix it after got the tip from Pheonix Rom forum. Since then Phoenix Rom gives me no problem. I have to upgrade Bootloader from ML2 to MJ5 for this rom. You use Philz 5.15.0 for flashing the rom only. After boot the rom, you can go back to recovery and flash latest Philz Recovery 6.41.6 If you are from 4.1.2 You have to do alot a research before upgrade. Don't forget to backup you EFS (imei). You can read it at first page. Btw E-Team is uploading V5+ of DN3 : E-Team WebsiteCannot download yet.. maybe tonight.

QUOTE(dikae @ May 27 2014, 09:38 AM) Hi sifus, am helping a friend of mine, apparently she deleted a few pictures in her Note 2 gallery, by accident. and wish to retrieve those important images. Any reliable ways or software that she could use? thanks.. Disk DiggerI never use this before. You need to be rooted and maybe buy pro version. Btw ask your friend to start using cloud storage like dropbox to backup photos. This post has been edited by Arzwart: May 27 2014, 10:23 AM

QUOTE(sanderz @ May 27 2014, 10:59 AM) So you discover any bug or not? As I know, DN3 V5 if switch to Ultra PSM will get launcher force close, need to reboot once then only working. Testing it now lol EDIT; No FC. No problem in enabling and disabling UPSM I use Philz Touch Recovery 6.41.6 This post has been edited by Arzwart: May 27 2014, 11:15 AM

QUOTE(sanderz @ May 28 2014, 03:44 PM) Asking. Currently I am on ND3 ROM/bootloader - France XEF (DN3 ROM v5). If I flashed our country stock DN4 ROM (XXUFND4 - Malaysia XME)... Will I able downgrade back to DN3 bootloader again? Both is for 4.4.2 KitKat Android. You got knoxed. You can only upgrade.

QUOTE(mydragoon @ May 28 2014, 04:06 PM) some quick Q and sharing... * latest version of DN3 (Ditto Rom). good? no good? any major known issues? planning to go for a 4.4.2 ROM. this one is on my list. * anyone found another supplier for good reliable and cheap charger? last time fruitie intro one, but the seller can't get any more stocks. * something i've been facing with my Note 2 lately... my media scanner don't work properly. i get 'broken' icon on some new media. when i click to run these media (could be photo or video), sometimes, it'll tell me the media cannot be played. end up have to delete and copy again. or sometimes, need to clear Gallery cache. also, around the same time the phone became this unstable, i also noticed my ringtones went haywire, etc... does this mean time to factory wipe? so sianz... but that's why i'm asking about ROM. i wanna go for something 'stable' for daily use and have note 3 functions. i don't really like to flash too often. Pheonix Rom v18.8 is stable.

The Og battery in Pheonix rom missing 1 battery themes I like. And every time I want to flash different OG battery, will ruin the systemUI Right now I'm testing DN3 V5+

QUOTE(sanderz @ May 28 2014, 11:19 PM) I think I had enough with DN3, back to stock XME. You can try DN3 v5+ Lite .. It can do video call. If you feel lockscreen lag, replace the keyguard.apk with V5 from the v5 rom .zip and give 644 permission. QUOTE(mydragoon @ May 29 2014, 02:55 PM) ah, nice... you can compare and let me know... ya? i just want something with Note 3 features and stable for daily use. but earlier post, someone said will FC if make video call. but its ok la... these days, with Skype, LINE, etc... i don't really make the traditional video calls anymore. p.s: what's OG battery mod?  I suggest you try out DN3 v5+ Lite version In Aroma installation, can choose N3 application only if you dont want S5. QUOTE(mydragoon @ May 30 2014, 08:09 AM) sorry... this LITE = kernel? anyway, Arzwart... you have compared both Phoenix and DN3. you feel DN3 is better? yes Lite means Light, less bloat stuffs. In my personal opinion; Pheonix v18.8 is better than DN3 v5+ (IncallUI FC during video call) I think DN3 v5+ Lite is better than both above less problem If you really want Light N3 and a little bit of S5 try Mr.Luong rom v3.8. I didn't use this because it don't have Quick Glance.
