QUOTE(sanderz @ May 18 2014, 03:38 PM) Gonna get a Note 2 tomorrow. Hope the battery life is good enough. Is it true that Note 2 can reach 10+ hours of SOT? If it second hand phone and you got it very cheap. then its ok.If it brand new, you have to consider: -Note II is already knoxed? -you cannot use your s-pen on menu and back button. it doesn't do anything. III Neo, note 8, note III you can. -doesnt have IR sensor for remote control -advantage - FM radio This post has been edited by Arzwart: May 19 2014, 12:38 AM |

QUOTE(sanderz @ May 19 2014, 05:48 AM) Nah the first thing I do when I get the phone I will be rooting it. Since Note 2 still have active developers so I think it's nothing to be scared of. So if a root user, you guys suggest to stay on 4.3 or update to KitKat? I'm using KitKat but with old MJ5 bootloader since my N2 still under warranty, but will end this 30th May |

QUOTE(aBg_rOnGak @ May 19 2014, 08:55 AM) BL can flash from recovery ka? Even some modder at XDA said better not; flash BL via ODIN/Heimdall oni...I not sure about MobileODIN though The previous question is how to stay on old bootloader. I suggest flash custom rom through recovery ..I didn't mention flashing bootloader at all. |

QUOTE(*NaRaYa* @ May 22 2014, 02:19 PM) Because you don't have Note 3.Note 2 don't have the hardware sensor for it .. Note 3 Neo don't have it too. The quick toggles from those photos are from Custom rom with Ported some stuffs from Note 3. but without sensor, it wont work. This post has been edited by Arzwart: May 22 2014, 02:33 PM |

QUOTE(lamjunrong @ May 22 2014, 07:20 PM) nice! if i am in V5 now, can i just flash the new V5+ rom directly or dirty flash without factory reset? i dont want to lose my installed apps You can try dirty flash even is not recommend by dev. Make sure backup your Internal Sd and backup apps with Titanium backup. If dirty flash fail or make your Note II really buggy then you have to do full wipe flash. |

QUOTE(neuromancerx @ May 22 2014, 10:58 PM) I'm still remembered when i used DN3 rom last time (can't recall which version), the smart scroll is working like a charm because i was showing it off to my colleague about that function. It work. but buggy. Your face have to be in bright area and your eye have to be on the right spot to make it really work. |

QUOTE(sanderz @ May 24 2014, 05:36 AM) I am thinking can we switch between ROM's like flash Malaysia Official ROM or DN3 ROM vice-versa? And once upgrade to 4.4 bootloader there's no way back to older 4.3 or 4.1 right? Just can flash around 4.4 ROM's? There is a way to dual boot actually. But I never done it before so I not the right person to explain the details. You can actually do nandroid backup with official Malaysia 4.4.2 with custom recovery so you can go switch between custom. With ND3 Bootloader.. you still flash can 4.3 rom but not the 4.1.2 |

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ May 24 2014, 11:10 AM) You can do it for certain kernels. But there's no CUSTOM kernet out there YET for KITKAT. There are already a custom kernal for kitkat made by Tamirda, the pheonix rom dev. but if fully stock and cannot OCFor 4.3 and below you can do it. mainly to set SELinux set to permissive for OTA update. Pheonix Kernal 1.0 |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 25 2014, 12:43 AM) Personally I never quite like DN3. Too much functions at the expense of stability. At first is OK OK. Then the nightmare starts. Sometimes customers calls won't even come in. That was the last straw. Once restarts, all those emails, miss calls flooding in like crazy. umm you mean DN3 or ND3?DN3 = Ditto Note 3 Custom rom ND3 = Kitkat 4.4.2 Firmware from Samsung I suggest you guys try Mr.Luong kitkat Rom |
