Never encounter fc with dn3 v5 and v5+. So far so good.

Guys, I plan to update my wife note 2 to 4.4.2 (N7100XXUFND4) via OTA when I get back to Malaysia this week. Before that I need to clarify few things...

1. If I update via OTA, will it wipe out the phone memory?

2. After update to 4.4.2, is it true that we can't move app to external sd card anymore?

3. For those who is using the stock MY rom without root, is there any bugs discover after updated to 4.4.2? Such as battery life, UI smoothness and so on?

I hope experts here can help me out cause I bought a S View case from TB that actually works like the one on N3. The downside is I have to install an app in order to have features like the N3 S View case.

And this app only can be installed once with the provided code. So if anything goes wrong, then the case will become a normal flip case...

if i ask what is the ONE (or two) things you don't like about Phoenix Rom, what would it be?

Nowadays I don't really care about battery conserving like in the past.

2000MHz OC
CPU: 266MHz to 640MHz
ZZmoove Performance Governor
Undervolt 80mv

No need to use crappy and stuttery transitions to cover up the delay in between tasks.

But then battery life is ½ed

The Og battery in Pheonix rom missing 1 battery themes I like. And every time I want to flash different OG battery, will ruin the systemUI

i just want something with Note 3 features and stable for daily use.

but earlier post, someone said will FC if make video call. but its ok la... these days, with Skype, LINE, etc... i don't really make the traditional video calls anymore.

just flash it over GN3 V5+ and with the setting recommended in xda post 2.

not much info on the setting. so anyone can share what u set?

*i almost flash dr ketan 7.1 but then just look at xda that 7.2 is coming...never ending...
from the changelog, i think it should be quite stock to note3 rom. but so far never installed before...

I switch back to ND4 stock XME ROM already. I just need some apps on DN3. Like Note 3 S Note etc. No force close and whatsever.

Hi guys, n00b here.

I was attempting to update to 4.4.2 via kies, but failed. I've tried emergency firmware recovery in kies but no succeed. I think I just soft-bricked my phone, didn't I? Can I flash 4.4.2 via odin without installing the emergency firmware?

Change the battery icon on the notification bar without reboot.

If menu button change to recent apps, how to access menu again?

You can try DN3 v5+ Lite .. It can do video call.

If you feel lockscreen lag, replace the keyguard.apk with V5 from the v5 rom .zip and give 644 permission.

I suggest you try out DN3 v5+ Lite version In Aroma installation, can choose N3 application only if you dont want S5.

anyway, Arzwart... you have compared both Phoenix and DN3. you feel DN3 is better?

The ROM doesn't have that much bloatware like S5 fancy apps.

for the second image (right), the first 'thumbnail' is broken.

i wonder if this is the KitKat vs SD card thingy. i'm running stock rom. 4.4.2.

i'm still testing and see what is causing it. so far, i'm suspecting:
* files copied directly from PC to SDcard can cause this
* files copied from PC to phone storage seems to be OK so far

will monitor closely and feedback later. but anyone else got this issue?
