QUOTE(f5calvin @ Feb 13 2014, 12:07 AM) d5200 seems good. it has wifi n gps. lovely features there. Thanks for the suggestion, for D5100 the lens of 18-55 is it enough, I prefer in shooting animals and scenery... occasionally human portrait may be...if u dun want those cool features, maybe a d5100 is good enough. price is around 1.6 or less out there now. QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Feb 12 2014, 10:10 PM) For beginners, and if your budget is around RM2000, then the Nikon D3200 and Nikon D5100 are great choices Thanks for the suggestion, for D5100 the lens of 18-55 is it enough, I prefer in shooting animals and scenery... occasionally human portrait may be... Because I read through the members previous post, some they suggest for new shooter to obtain a 18-105 lens, but for model like D5100, i search in lowyat garage sales, it only come with 18-55 lens...or better choose for D3200 18-105 lens... |

QUOTE(copperwire93 @ Feb 14 2014, 10:36 PM) Really? I got mine for RM15, the cheapo plastic IR remote from Nikon. Thanks! Sifu, if I bought the camera, how is it for me to make sure the camera was original from nikon malaysia? If it's me, I'll get 18-55 and 70-300. 18-55 can be used for travelling and casual shots. Can add in Raynox for macro some more when travelling. 70-300 can be used for birding and astro-photgraphy. Also can add in raynox later for more macro. Another kitteh shot! ![]() Vygotsky portrait by NurAzam, on Flickr |

QUOTE(freezadwar @ Feb 17 2014, 11:23 PM) bought D7000. the other day just got myself a 50mm lens. Considering D7000 body with a 50mm f1.8 lens, how much u got your body? I just read for the lens got 2 version, 1 is 1.8D and another 1.8G.. any different?yeap, quality is really good. shooting raw now. previously shooting jpeg but i guess it wasn't enough. hehe being able to look again at the photos i took, though not good, i felt satisfied. i guess this is the hobby i've been searching for This post has been edited by neohwengtart: Feb 18 2014, 07:20 PM |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Feb 18 2014, 07:38 PM) 1.8D is cheaper (~RM300) whereas 1.8G is around RM700. D7000 body has built in motor right? Mean is it ok to pair a D7000 with 50mm f1.8D lens since the lens lack of motor (no autofocus function).. I am just starter in photography, wanna try out first..The main difference is that the 1.8G has an internal motor for focusing. Works well when paired with DSLR bodies that don't have Autofocus (AF) motors i.e. D3100, 3200, D5100, D5200, D5300 (mostly entry-level DSLRs) etc. the 1.8G is also better in terms of bokeh and also quietness This post has been edited by neohwengtart: Feb 18 2014, 07:56 PM |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Feb 18 2014, 08:55 PM) Higher pixel counts, coupled with a good sensor = more details For extension tube, whats the different between:I thought sensor only affect the dynamic range? I don't really know much about this haha Yeah, sure thing Just need to pair it either with Extension Tubes, Raynox (magnifier glass) or both 1. MACRO EXTENSION TUBE RING for NIKON DSLR & SLR, RM40 2. New AF Auto Focus Macro Extension Tube Set for Nikon DSLR (Metal), RM290 Any differences? |
