Hi bros, just got my Nikon D7000 and a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens not long ago.
Loving it so far, has a lot more options and much to learn compared to any DSLRs I used previously

I got one question though - what lighting do you use for product photoshoot? White table lamp with diffuser or just a piece of paper?

I thought using a table lamp with some diffuser light might work, but my IKEA table lamp emits yellow light

For upcoming event is hold in a hall, so the lighting is same throughout the hall, and i compare with the hall used in last Sunday, the lighting also same kind of yellow cast.

For solution 2:
Let say i using white A4 paper, where should i shoot the white paper for preset WB? At the hall on spot or under sun light?

Forgot to ask. Sunday morning when they took pic, suddenly the viewfinder looks blur, switch to liveview also same, it remained for around 10 minutes before resume back to normal. I guess is some mist inside the mirror. That day is rainy day and rained non stop since day before, but i put inside the camera bag. How can it happen? As the lens is close system right? Did you guy experience this before?

I like the 1st and 2nd. Third the rain is so heavy? Checked your exif, wow 70mm already can reach this far.
Capture RAW+Jpeg man with AWB. If anything goes wrong on a certain picture, you have a raw as backup.

I'm sure these were not taken at your house garden right? 

#1 is a fungus beetle
#2 is a Great Egg Fly (Hypolimnas bolina) - great shot, these butterflies don't usually hang around too much
#3 bug porn! XD
#4 is an Electric Blue Banded Phintella (Phintella vittata) - this is a very tough spider to shoot since they are extremely jumpy, I have yet to get a decent shot of the front hehe, can try it as a challenge~
#8 is a stilt legged fly- again, a tough shot since their legs are so damn long and are always out of focus. You did very well in your shot, where the legs are still pretty decently focused, kudos!   

Shots will be come very soft at high magnifications, so the trick is to reduce magnification (yes I know its hard to do that for a macro shooter haha) and crop later, or focus stack ^___^

Flies will secrete fluids when they find suitable food. The fluid will digest the food before the fly sucks them up

Coincidentally I am also working a bit on some insect research, so I know some of them haha, I just refer to books or scientific literature. I can only ID the commons ones la haha Still much to learn~

Usually noneed to wait (unless flying or hunting shot), just find them and shoot

Sigma 17-50mm better or 35mm f1.8 better in a event such as comic fiesta 2013 in KLCC? because it is not full in-door nor full out door, not sure which lens to bring. Too lazy to bring both, just a simple setup with flash gun and shot.

Just want to write blog about the event, not those apa apa photography page you normally see on fb that with superior lightning and such. But still quality photo is still the main factor.

I don't have a camera bag, so might be an issue for me to bring a flash gun + 2 lens.. still deciding want to buy crumpler or not.. 
I read that too.. the older version is sharper.. but I have a shaky hand sometimes... maybe wait for a while to pump more $$ to get that sigma 17-50mm, but boy it is a heavy lens.. Dilemma..

if really need 1 only, get the 35mm 1.8 la.. the last event i went to animangaki..95% i used 35mm.. light n sharp.

Crumpler Heaven(M) + Crumpler Barney Rustle Blanket, I'm not purely looking for a camera bag.. I looking for a bag that can carry my camera gear + ipad + other stuffs... I travel alot for vacations.. so water resistence + can carry water bottle, passport, ipad, DSLR, etc is a huge bonus There's many sling bag offer that too, but during travel sling / backpack is dangerous due to pickpocket. Messenger bag can easily slide to front and hug it. The sling I'm interested is the Crumpler Enthusiast..

Any recommendation other than crumpler to fit my needs?     

I might get it from the local store when I get my 35mm this weekend..  finally a prime lens!!

Edit : that Lowepro Transit Sling 250 AW not bad leh... how is the price? if significant cheaper I might get this instead of the crumpler combo~

On mine, one side 80-200mm f/2.8, middle will fit a D800 + 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, a 14-24mm f/2.8 and quite tight already.  Adding a SB910 speedlight on the little space on top of the 14-24mm f/2.8 will be tight.

Depending on the type of shooting, I take a Thinktank belt with Skin 50 and Skin 75 pouches and use Optech sling camera strap equipped with acra swiss clamp to grip my camera body attached with arca swiss plate.

If I want to take a little more on the go, I'll use my Thinktank Glass Taxi. It's been on the market for quite a while already but I find that it's pretty slim and small but yet able to carry quite a bit of gears.

If I need to take even more stuff, I use the Airport Navigator roller. Saves my back.

Update on my D600: They say it's not because of the shutter that causes the oil. So they just help me clean for free
