Inside forest even more mosquitoes x100 oh! Definitely need long sleeves, shirt and cap; and if possible, gloves too
But do be careful of snakes if you are not walking along paths. Better avoid mangroves unless if there's platforms like in Matang, since most of Malaysia's most venomous snakes are there

Well, its just my noob opinion la haha 
I've been playing around with my SB-700 for quite some time already, but I'm still not very good at guesstimations, and many a times the resulting photo will come out pretty bad 

The diffusion will be much better with the umbrella, but that beats the whole point already haha 

Just have 50mm f/1.8D and tammy 17-50mm f/2.8. 

LOL, is the gold ring 35mm or 85mm "good"? Yes I stop down aperture for sharpness, this is on the D800's 36MP.
I can't achieve "very sharp" pics wide open with 50mm but not an issue with my 35mm or 85mm.

Set AF to normal (auto) mode?
