from my experience, d7000 can use iso3200 indoors, just need to overexpose 1 stop to get a clean images...heheheheee
u may recover using software on certain area... the rule is don't underexpose a high iso pics on DX camera... |

QUOTE(wkwong91 @ Mar 10 2014, 02:41 PM) 50mm 1.8G is very sharp wide open. 1. Off focus- Not enough light to focus correctly. 2. Hand shake - Shuttle speed is too slow. Don't blame the lens if cannot get sharp images, you need to improve your skill 1st. |

QUOTE(wkwong91 @ Mar 10 2014, 03:19 PM) I din't blame that 50mm is not sharp. I see... I just wonder is it 35mm sharper than 50mm or not only. No other mean. Referring to both (G lens) 35mm@f1.8 is as sharp as 50mm@f1.8, I don't think it's sharper. However u can use a slower shuttle speed on 35mm cause it's a wider lens. but 50mm@f1.8 bokeh is much superior than 35mm@f1.8, this is because u get more area in focus in 35mm@f1.8. |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 10 2014, 03:13 PM) @wkwong91, actually most lens will become sharper when you stop them down. Post-processing can also help with sharpening too IMHO, 1 There is no need to sharpen images. 2. U don't stop down because u cannot get sharp images. The reason to stop down: U stop down because u want less light. U stop down because u want more area in focus. (again, not sharper images!) U stop down because u want slower shutter speed. A good prime lens should be able to produce sharp images across all aperture. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 10 2014, 03:58 PM) I would not consider 50mm f/1.8G as "very sharp" As I have said, 50mm 1.8G is very sharp. If u cannot achieve that, then something must be wrong. |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 10 2014, 04:19 PM) Why is there no need to sharpen images? Because if the image is correctly in focus, then viewing in 100% size should be "tack sharp" already. However, in most situation may need to increase the contrast. |

QUOTE(ChaosSixth @ Mar 30 2014, 11:44 PM) Another thing is.. Buy prime aka fast lens... I'm using kit lens 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 DX VR . And its hard to use low ISO and faster shutter speed. Usually I use around 100-320 ISO and shutter speed around 1/20-1/30sec to get a brighter image. I wondering is there any way i can increase my picture quality by using low ISO? been playing around alot |
