1. Print all the past year papers for all subjects eventhough it costs 10p per page. Why? because lecturers LOVE to repeat questions, they have used the same method for many years and see no reason to change it.
2. They don't care at all what you do as a student, you want to hand in coursework or don't it's up to you. If possible write good english.
3. You WILL meet absolutely horrible lecturers or tutors or project supervisors. There will be lecturers who will teach like they don't care if you pass or fail and lecturers who give their exams scripts to PHd students to mark which they aren't supposed to.Don't be suprised if you get an unexpected poor mark and then expect the lecturer to entertain you they might just brush you off.
4. Try not to be late for class as some lecturers might tick you off if you get in late, it depends a lot on your lecturer, some really don't mind.
5. Expect to be the receiving end of racist comments or calls. Just WALK AWAY, even if they are saying terrible things about your GF or BF, just walk away.
6. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE it will be the best thing ever to happen in your life. Don't let petty things get you down, if you feel lonely or homesick do call home.
