visa u can only do 3 months before your departure date .
Studying in the london Uni is really really expensive ... i went there for my half term and spent a bomb on shopping and lifestyle in 3 days . lolx .
P/S: Suggest u apply for dental insurance . It really is a killer to have your tooth emergencies done here .

im heading to imperial college to to civil engineering (MEng) and have secured a full gamuda scholarship.
before going, what are the things i need to do? for example, apply for a passport, student visa, buy winter clothing, buy medical insurance, get a bank account, etc.
erm , winter clothing is quite important in Winter. since u start in september ( if im not wrong ). Its spring time , getting cold about 10~18degrees . but i think it's better if you just buy 1 or 2 clothings (windbreakers ) then head there and buy some more . i think it's cheaper and more variety . For me ,during autumn , i usually just wear a t shirt and a sweater . Quite used to the cold there .
I started a HSBC account in Chinatown , Leicester Square , London . The branch manager is a Malaysian from Ipoh. lolx . hehe . HSBC is quite good cause there are many branch in UK . easy to get service .
P/S : Do a chest x-ray before you come here . Boarding students who are entering to the UK for the 1st time require a chest x-ray that may be done in the airport by the health customs (at least that was what i experienced ) . Suggest you do it here to avoid hassle . And Confirmation of acceptance to the Uni is important too

Make sure u apply student air ticket to get free 10 kg too .

Just wondering right, is there anything in demand in UK right now that's easily available in M'sia/Asia?
Might be a good income source.. never know
