Anybody here studying accounting in UPM? As i know, wat they studying is not ACCA, right? then, wat professional papers they taking?

Anyone can help me?

FYI ACCA is what they do AFTER grad. so to ans ur question, no they're not ACCA

accounting in upm is degree....degree is different from profesional paper interms of the way of teaching n learning....

degree u get more assignments compared to porf. to prepare u for the outside world on the other hand professional paper is exams n exams n exams so u'd have more stressful life ><....

after degree u can choose to do acca,micpa,cpa etc den u'd be an edge above the rest....

tat means we have to study all over again and take ACCA again? then, wat is the point doing degree without getting any professional qualification?

No, a degree and professional papers r 2 different things my dear...
What's da point having a degree?Well, salary of course! U can get around RM2.2k and above as a start if u have degree n ACCA

Imagine if u only have ACCA, i don't think u'll be able to get that amount of salary as a start.........

Okay,here's an example:

I have degree in electronics and computer engineering
fresh grad will get around "RM1500~RM2500" depends whether u r one lucky chap or vice versa

As for me, i have degree n ccnp... i managed to get rm2400.... not inclusive phoe allowance...

But i got a fren who is much more luckier than me, she got RM2.5k just using her degree... lucky chap huh???

usually got exemptions....u may just be required to do 3-4 out of 15 papers....
