[FLX]CVT variants experience more than usual engine braking when going downhill
This is normal, as the CVT variant is tuned differently than a normal A/T car. When detecting that the car is going down a decline, the CVT will downshift, causing the RPM to shoot up and the engine to whine quite loudly. However, it is advised to ease your throttle control (press or release slowly and gently) to prevent belt slip.

Nothing wrong with using brakes when downhill, it doesn't harm the CVT.

If reverse the engine feels like stalling, it's "normal" for the FLX. If you say drive forward uphill it feels like stalling, then something wrong dy.

still can drive? jerk as in jerk during moving from a stop or even while driving?
  frankly speaking i also stay in car tengok tengok saja...

Have any of us experience the following (Exora Bold Premium):
1) When the car is slowing down (release the pedal) to ~30-40kmh, and u press on the pedal again will actually make the car shakes or hesitate a bit, before the car is gaining power to continue.
2) When the car is slowing down (release the pedal) and to a near complete stop, and u press the pedal to continue, the engine dies off. This is especially true when going up a slope, like slowing down uphill, before making a right turn if there is no car coming.
3) During slow speed, like parking the car, forward and reverse the car without complete stop, but at a very very slow forward speed and make the engine dies off. Even if it is not, you will experience a "cough" feeling from the engine.

new car ? if yes, most probably the CVT havent "train" your foot.
old car ? I dont think such thing still happen after the ECU has learned your driving style ?

I just removed the -ve terminal of my batt last weekend.
ECU ram memory deleted, so as my driving style.
my car already long time no semput semput, no more like want stall like that when reverse & etc.
BUT all these come back out in the first 2 days.
3rd day onwards, ECU already learn back my style, no more such things as above. .

INB4, reflash ECU or watever TCU is of useless.
the same problem will come back.
it is only a issue when after you have learned to be gentle on your right foot, and the above same problem still comes back and haunt u.
