Oil filter wont be as efficient after 5k km.

SS change at 5k
FS change at 10k. At 5k, need to change oil filter and top up EO.
even they write 10k for SS, you go back at 5k and demand them to change.

Never had to do that for FS. And it is still running fine.

unoehuat, there is not scientific proof to many things.
of coz u can use SS for 10k like some SC rekomend.
some even go to extreme, using it for 15k
But ayam manyak sayang gua mia camtakadepro, so use SS & change at 5k is still affordable to me.
alot of ppl rike to use until the things spoil / full usage life then only change geh.
but thats definitely not ayam.
maintenance for camtakadepro is chip, so I still can afford.

again, if you no rike, you can follow 10k for SS.
even dont change oil filter at 5k. (for godsake, how much the filter cost you only  )

you wont spoil ur engine completely within 3 years with regular maintenance. 
but no guarantees that your engine can perform to its intended life time.
