what is the meaning of "kot"?, where it originates from? Chat

I have been hearing a lot of my malay friends speak with the slang "kot".
Like...
macam itu kot kita boleh pergi kot
it's almost like every sentence they end with kot.
Where does this thing come from?

takut takut tak jadi. hence tak jadi kot.

the origin:
takut-takut ; a slight of uncertain. sample - "TS foreverarone, takut-takut dia jadi gay sebab takde amoi nak"
so it became "kot-kot" later kot.
agak nyela kot...
