Actually you should ask this to the seller before buying as the price and warranty given are different for AP and Original set. There are 3 original distributor for Sony in Malaysia that are Thorus, Midland and Dynamic. If you want to check your phone is ori or ap, try check your charger and sim card slot, there will be a sticker there with original distributor name(one from 3 that i mentioned). If not, then yours is ap.

The reason i ask this is because, maybe your phone is oversea set, from a country that not yet get an update for xperia z.

We'll guess u are right bro as have been digging for some time now and the ONI best casing that I managed to find is incopio which offers good protection but not available here

I won't use my phone naked if there are good casing. The available casing only make zl looks ugly. Yes, I also found Incipio casing back then when i was searching for my phone protection. But need to order from US, and god know how long it will take.

The link that was given for simpilsm casing is only available for Z1 and Z iinm. and it only protect your phone back from scratching. not worth it imo as zl back is quite tough.

ZL is the first phone i'm using naked..
previous phones all with casing, before selling them off, noticed how nice they felt on my palm naked..

i got mine from SG, after conversion around RM88.
look in garage sales also, i recall there was a seller selling around RM100+.
that seller also got / had for ZL the incipio dualpro which is something similar, but i dont like it cos its too smooth...and also more expensive around RM130-150.
casemate tough still the best cos nice and grippy.

Protection more from scratch only Imo. Need to get the flip cover for better protection.

iinm there are few cases i read somewhere that some users experienced SOD coz of batt prob and overheating.
u may search for it. maybe with other phone u can abuse however u want.
but with zl u might want to be extra protective regarding the heat.
this is only my view on how to taking care the battery if frequently playing games.
dont know about photographing. might produce a lot of heat too.
so..long story short to keep it simple. do not add more heat if u r generating heat on the phone.
other than that ZL is just great in term of performance. with the size just nice in my hand. last but not least the thin bezel.

this new update dont have burst mode..like miss something which i always use..why they remove burst feature..

im one of the victim of ZL overheat..after warning of overheat using burst camera ..my phone face SOD..and need to put charger if want to turn on the phone..sent to service centre by three week..right now now having prob drain bit too fast...

We'll considered flip cover but don't quite like it so ended up only choice is back cover that's why trying to fing something with good protection
