QUOTE(nazq @ Sep 28 2011, 02:46 AM) The Persatuan Anak Perak held their own jamuan raya at Tradewinds hall, in the end one full kuali of laksa came to my block. Budget saved. I'd eat more, but even those students who shouldn't be involved, sibuk sibuk want to makan as well there, making the place very crowded... oh well, I just leave the place after a while. Imagine lah, a non-involved freshie stand in front of the queue, hand over the food 1 by 1 to her friends behind. Not just 2-3 friends, but like 10 of them. Btw anyone involved in konvo? Here's hoping it's not raining unlike the previous year Not involved in konvo, but will go there sometime to buy stuff. Give discounts if you're selling |

QUOTE(nazq @ Sep 28 2011, 03:29 AM) My friend will open a drink stall there, the rent is RM800 per stall. Hopes he does well, too many competition if based on previous konvo. I thought it's rm500 per stall for students? How come it increased now?Talking about juniors, so sudden many of the 2nd intake (those who passed the appeal) came here - the empty room have their own occupants now. Heard Kachi receives a smaller amount of juniors this sem? I don't know about SME, but B.Rakyat received around 300++ and 40+ for appeal students. I think the number is larger than what other DPP received (if based on data dated 24 August 2011). Even my dpp block level 1 which is supposed to be empty (reserved for guests)... 10 of the rooms now are filled in. Males remain extinct creatures, and we received zero indians. |

QUOTE(nazq @ Sep 28 2011, 03:54 AM) Even Tradewinds have only 1 block for the guys, the other 3 all occupied by females. The stall, didn't know about that. Still RM800 is a bit pricey. mid-sem break yeah, should be confirmed 26 Oct - 11 Nov. It's written in the student email. The mid-sem break, 2 weeks confirmed already? But I don't like them doing this, since we get no study week. I preferred last year when it was flooded, we get 2 weeks to study before final... so good. |

QUOTE(nazq @ Oct 6 2011, 03:37 AM) And there it is, a student posted at UUMkini that his friend kena halau pasal no wear formal one. Hot issue over there. I support this guy It made into Malaysiakini as well:- http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/177752 But will the management change the rule after this? I don't really think so in the immediate future. |

TheStar's paper forum section hehe.
But who's gonna write? If we present all of the issues we have to the paper, even 1 whole page can't fit the real story. |

QUOTE(nazq @ Oct 6 2011, 04:05 AM) Last time someone sent a complain at Utusan regarding the bus service, the tomorrow edition got reply from the uni management edy. So fast one. lol, bus service. But I don't see any improvement to it till now. Kachi's bus always park at SME, leaving B.Rakyat student waiting. Then when bus finally come, it's full with SME students already. Every time like this. We paid the same thing, but SME get the whole stuff.Maybe put one issue at a time? Highlighting the important one first? I don't know, newspaper selection also play a part too. I've asked an MPP friend before about the bus, she said the MPP can't do anything as well. Last May, most mpp, jkps, ra had short meeting with UNIC's owner, voiced some issue, but still the same till now. I lost hope already regarding any bus issue, won't get fixed. QUOTE(nazq @ Oct 6 2011, 04:24 AM) le fu- I was in the meeting, but unfortunately I forgot what the owner said, lol. Because Laluan A (I think) got the same problem with us, but they keep highlighting only if got problem, "please report it to the sms number given". Ah the classic bus issues. I seldom taking bus though, only if want to go PKU or Pusat Sukan - still can count by fingers how many time I went to those places every sem. So what the UNIC's owner saying about the problem? Shortage of buses? Or the drivers? From my observation though, the bus is always packed. Quite lucky Tradewinds is within walking distance to lecture halls, but pity those at Kachi. The UNIC's owner, Aman Wardi, gave his HP number (can PM me if anybody wants it). You're lucky to have your own transport, mang. I'm stuck having none till there's a permanent job. |
