Signed the moment someone pointed it to me. Now close to 42,000 signatures. I also started a petition the moment I read the news, but it's not getting any hit despite mine coming first. Maybe because I don't have a website to back it.

Sad, I re-downloaded Winamp and remembered the two main reasons I use it a lot:
1. SPCAmp. I admit it, I love SNES music. I never had a SNES in my time (had a Sega Megadrive) but my cousin has SNES. Jelly every time I hear music from the games while at his house. This was consolation.

2. AWEAmp. Remember the Windows 95/98 era when Windows only allow one program to use the sound card at the same time? I was irritated at that until I discover this. Finally I can use my AWE64 to for listening to music and the "uhoh" sound from ICQ can still come through so I know there is message.

Sad that all these will be gone. There is no way to play SPC music in other media players, only through dedicated player programs. The magic of my last two years of secondary school has passed on into legacy.

I totally catch what RAMChYLD said.
Because I did have the same memory on those days back.

My first player in Win98 was Winamp version 2.
Those days I use plugin for Winamp that only able to playback NSF, SPC, PSF file of my favorite title.
Remember those days internet is slow, hard to get MP3 format of these music title.
