Why you need a replacement set?
From what I heard they only will give you a replacement set if they can't fix your issue for 3 or more times.
Overheat issue is a easy fix tho... So, I don't think you can get a replacement set.

Even is replacement, they will probably give you the same unit. Your unit is just 6 month old, why you want a same unit?

if you need extra cpu clocks, yes it's worth it.

one of my laptops has a 3630qm, it's just 100mhz slower than 4710mq. you can feel the differences between 3630qm and 4900mq right away. (my 4900mq is oc'ed to 4.0ghz)

already done, thats the firs driver i installed, then the management engine. but it failed?

hey, i just realized my gpu fan is not working properly, during load, the fan never spinning to its max rpm. and the temperature keeps hitting 90c. already cleaning the fan and apply a new thermal paste. how can i solve this?

yes gtx 880m, i dont think its normal temperature reach 89c. dell just changed my gpu, heatsink and the fan.

  for this kind of case, possible to blame the issue to Dell?

if that's the reason, I dont think Dell can do anything except keep replacing the heatsink fan etc 
probably request to replace with other gc?

haha there will always be better stuff coming later on (like sata ssd. there will be less changes in ddr3l ram except for price). just have fun with your current setup first

tbh, there are plenty of things that you can do with excess of ram.
not so sure why 880m can be that hot. it can be the fan, or the heat sink, but iinm 780m is fine with it.

my 880m in m17x r4 is running at below 80c under loads. btw i am using desktop driver mod by mr. fox for this card. it's relatively much better. it still have serious drop in fps for a few seconds when gaming, but it's much lesser now.

it's still good for some years, but it is showing its age (technologically).

uh? m17x r4 was released in 2012.
my m17x r4 has 2x sata3 (hdd bays); 1x sata2 msata slot; and 1x sata2 odd port. for now it's full (2x sata ssd, 1x msata ssd, and 1x hdd in hdd caddy)

to me the optimum is still 3-disk setup. 1x ssd for os, 1x ssd for apps/games, 1x hdd for downloads and data storage.

I see. I thought you're using 3 HDD. That would be quite heavy and be hotter than others tho. haha
