migrate to #hotlink plan is one-way street currently

if maxis changed this in the future, it would likely only allow allow migration to a newer plan that lacks the 365 option

yes migrating to #hotlink is one way, and from here we can't reverse or changed back to older plans.

we can only hope that Maxis introduce another plan down the line, which allows 365 days subscription.

I believe this has happened before, 2/3 years back Maxis introduced a plan that with RM5 top-up for 3 months validity (0-days grace period and no 365 days subscription)... later they introduce another plan called "New Hotlink Plan/ Hotlink 3.0" with 365 days subscription. Now, this latest plan called "#Hotlink" plan ... with no 365 days.

Hi, just an update.

Previously I was using free internet while in "grace period".

on 23rd Jan 2014, I was still in "grace period". Line termination was due on 7th Feb 2014. Connect of H/H+ still visible, however there was no incoming data. It's like a dead data plan. [I've check mobile data used : around 150MB; so over 3GB quota is out of the question]

To confirm is not the Maxis side error, i waited until evening. But no avail. So I try reload RM 10. Immediately after successfully reload, the free internet working again.

insight : Probably Maxis fixed some bug.

Thanks for the info, can you update again after 10 days... when it enter grace period again. TQ.

LMAO...

Now I know Maxis staff really didn't do their homework when they introduce new prepaid plans.

share-A-Top-Up no longer entitle for "Free Basic Internet".

Have to delete the first post altogether.

Those caught upgrading from old prepaid plan to this #Hotlink plan, now have every right to ask to change back to previous Hotlink plan with 365, Hotlink5 and Hotlink 10 and 90 days grace period.

This is ridiculous from Maxis, once they found out their folly... they impose new restrictions on share-a-topup. These are not loopholes we subscribers took advantage, these are services provided by Maxis. Chop and change as they like.
The management team has to be sacked for not doing their research.

People pay 50 cents to share a top-up to keep their active period ... and they have every right to enjoy the free basic internet as per advertise in their promotion for the #Hotlink plan. More so for those subscribers who upgraded from old plans. I would say they are more or less conned into upgrading to this ridiculous #Hotlink plan which at present doesn't recognise [Ask-A-Topup (include Share-A-Top Up / Postpaid Top Up / Maxis Pay / Auto Top Up / SOS Top Up] as valid options to keep their line active with free internet perks as advertised.

Truly believe, these chaps at Maxis didn't realise 2 friends use the same plan, and share RM10 every week with each other to enjoy the free internet. What a bunch of idiots.

So stupid, they should have also disable the Share-A-Topup along with the Validity365, Hotlink5, Hotlink10, 90 days grace period..... when subscribers upgraded from old plan to #HOtlink plan.

One of the first question to come from subscribers when the promo came out... was "Share-A -TOp-up" still valid??? and those idiots say .. ya, still can transfer.

Now a lot of ppl are caught in a predicament.... have to topup Rm30 to keep their number instead of RM33 for a year in old plans.

I guess they should ask to change back to old plans, or port out if they don't intend to be cheated by idiots.

They better have some firefighting measures, as I am sure a lot of subscribers are pissed off with such measures introduced on the #HOtlink plan.

I am sure quite a few will opt to just MNP out , and end their relationship with Maxis.

A plan that looks so promising might prove to be Maxis downfall now.

I didn't regret changing to #Hotlink when this came out with 365 +100 days validity.
The 64kbps speed is useable with Opera Browser for normal surfing.

Support the Campaign above... so I can convert back to Hotlink365 after the 465 days of free basic internet...lol tongue.gif

I thought i got my RM5 cuz i sent like 10-20 feedback on their app asking for the missing RM5. Seems like everyone got it as long as they downloaded the app.

I downloaded and activated just days before the RM5 promotion, and kicked myself for doing it.

The current promotion of FASST INTERNET RM5/1GB/1day.... Is this applicable if the sim card is not LTE enabled? And if so what speed will be the surfing like with that promotion.
