i top up rm30, used that rm30 to buy 1GB monthly plan which support LTE, but then i saw maxis disregard the top up 30 days vailidity after buying the 1gb monthly plan, means no count, still at the old expiry date. but can use data for 1 month.

another thing, after buying the #hotlink simpack, to enjoy LTE u need to swap for LTE simcard. the trick is the latest #hotlink simcard came in the pack looks identical to the 128k LTE simcard (a standard sim with pre-cut microsim design), a maxis dealer (not center) customer service personnel last time confirmed me no need swap saying this is the one, but after days of try, finally discovering it is still 32k simcard, got to swap. so better go to maxis own service center to change.

oh no i mean grace period after expired validity date, the newly bought simpack come with RM5 only.

topped up rm30, the validity period extended 30 days.

but after buying 1gb monthly plan, this 30 days active days gone, revert back to original date before top up

It will deduct 30 days when u buy the 1GB RM30 data?
So now u have 5 days left with yr prepaid only?

now in grace period already, cannot call out / sms out, must top up within 50 days

i use this card for LTE internet data only

I think I gonna ask them clearly before I MNP to #Hotlink, if buying 1GB RM30 plan will deduct 30 days from active period, I rather stick with DiGi Super Long Life 365 days validity (My plan is buy RM 40 [RM10+RM30] per month for 1GB internet and call, no point to MNP if I only can use 10 days for calling every month)

Maybe it is a bug for u, try go to Maxis Forum and ask the CS team too

Maybe they are going to introducing back Validity365 soon (I can dream )

Edit: I know their new plan, they are taking off the slow 64kbps internet and replace it with free social messaging so ppl can't complain the net is slow when they are using those apps anymore

and you're right about the elimination of free basic internet, because stupid ignorant people complaint about its being to slow. what would u expect for 64kbps anyway...
i read maxis forum, some idiot even complaint about its not reaching 64kBps.. the fool cant differentiate between kilobit and kilobyte, expecting to get 64kBps aka 512kbps for free

Yea hopefully so, I wanna switch to Hotlink cause I wanna enjoy the LTE speed but I also hope they will introduce back the old Validity365 to makes everything perfect

i still doubt tho that they would bring back validity365 to #hotlink...
based on the new "free social messaging" they're still offering free whatsapp, wechat etc access for free.. means if they bring validity365 back, people would get a whole year of free whatsapp access for just rm66, rm33 fee+rm30 reload in six months. using whatsapp would bring less income as people not using traditional sms anymore, not to mention later whatsapp will introduce voice call...
currently people need to reload rm1/1day to stay active to use it, means for a whole year need to reload rm365. rm365 is better than rm66 for their profit

i got two celcom prepaid, one is old xpax x2 plan, by far cheapest plan for sms and call, not going to change it.
another one is current new xpax x24 plan, this sim is what i originally planned to mnp to #hotlink for the free basic internet. not sure what to do now

I just hope No excess charges at throttled speed when you hit your quota. still apply when I sign up the 1GB plan

when umobile 4g lte ready at my place, i think i will switch back to umobile, worthy.

I also decided to try out Hotlink LTE first since it has the widest coverage, if don't satisfied maybe I will jumpship too later
