I just stay at home today to rest and play Lego. Very tempting to join all the Legoholics & shopaholics at BV2 but my money tree needs to rest.

Hello V17... kudos to all who braved the traffic and crowds to zoom in on BV2 today.
I just stay at home today to rest and play Lego. Very tempting to join all the Legoholics & shopaholics at BV2 but my money tree needs to rest. |

QUOTE(Mr. Alby @ Nov 25 2013, 11:10 AM) I agree, even at 35-40% discount most of the sets are still expensive, due to our inflated retail prices thanks to ALJ. You can get Police Station from amazon uk for gbp47.99 + shipping. I'm staying away from BV2 and saving my money tree for Black Friday deals |

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Nov 26 2013, 10:08 AM) Ohhh ic. now I know the "mechanism" behind it. Actually tru empire gave out vouchers during the lego sale there. I got some so waiting until dec 1st to use them, hopefully at bv2 sale. Then no need to stress the money tree Correct me If Im wrong... only after the Empire TRU clearance, TRU nationwide started the rm50-for-rm300 purchase voucher promotion . And soon after ,the K-avenue pops up with similar clearance , but not related to TRU KLCC . perhaps that the reason why I didn;t snagged Lone ranger train there) :] IMO, ALJ is behind all these lego sales going on now, whether directly or indirectly. They need to clear their stock inventory now that their lego distributorship is ending. So other retailers and online resellers have no choice but to follow suit. |

QUOTE(zoomckng @ Nov 26 2013, 12:29 PM) Has Lego really gotten more affordable now compared to our childhood days? More like current generation has more spending power and willing to splurge on themselves and their kids... also got credit cards, money trees and unlimited cheat codes, etc... |

Police Station seems like hot item today. Saw many leftover on last day of Lego sale at Empire, didn't seem too popular then.

Ka-ching! Ka-ching! Ka-ching!! Today many taikuns swiping their credit cards
QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Nov 29 2013, 05:23 PM) hee hee. I wanted more (50 boxes) but kinda shy to take so many, have to leave some for others. They make great little gifts but cannot be so selfish and grab everything la, have to give everyone a fair chance to buy too... 50 boxes? Might as well just ask the staff to get you a few cartons from the store, save them restocking the shelves after you cleaned it out. I'm glad he refer to me as "budak" and not "uncle"! The bill more than "seribu".... g |

Good morning... recently I found that my Lego Star Wars collection is still the largest theme in my Lego collection. This is despite my efforts over the past few months to get rid of those 'ugly ships' (as wifey refers them). I've regretfully sold off some off my UCS and vintage SW sets, but still all these remain... and photo does not include multiples and some others stashed away in secret places around the house.
I need help... |

QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Dec 4 2013, 06:45 PM) Recently bitten by SW bug and now thinking of building a small Stormtroopers army. If you can, I suggest you get the Stormtrooper magnet from LLM... half the price of keychain. Just depends on your preference of where the hole will be... (that didnt' sound right) Can I check with the SW sifus here which is the 'best' variant? Link here to Brickset Stormtroopers My regular BL seller offer me two pieces of chrome Stormtrooper for around 30 Euros each. Worth it? Is it nice? Will the chrome bits come off? I also have this crazy idea to buy the Stormtrooper keychains and remove the keychain part, that will definitely leave a hole in the helmet right? Anyone done this? Thanks in advance! IIRC, Chrome stormtrooper from local resellers should be cheaper cheaper than 30 euros. ... but I am not a SW sifu |
